What's New in Wrike - May 2026

Our May edition brings exciting enhancements! From images in dashboards and expanded drill-downs, to new AI Agents actions and updates, Required Fields, Critical Path in the Gantt Chart, and much more!

AI Agents - New Actions and Updates

Available on Business and higher plans

AI Agents now support new actions and improvements to automate workflows with precision.

What's new?

  • Start and Manage Approval Flows: Agents can now automatically create or update draft approvals when tasks meet the specified conditions, with approvers defined in the action instructions using user chips such as individual users, user groups, the item author, or the assignee.
  • Send Emails via Gmail and Outlook: Agents can now send emails through Gmail and Outlook, extending actions beyond Wrike, with the subject, body, and recipients generated from work item context such as assignee email, author email, custom field values, or explicit addresses in the prompt.
  • Write to Date Custom Fields: Agents can now update custom date fields in addition to system start and due dates, helping automate workflows such as setting kickoff or completion dates based on task changes. Please note that custom date fields with a time component (a Wrike Labs feature) are not currently supported.
  • Act on Subitems: Agents can now act only on the subitems of the item that triggered them, making it easier to update child tasks of a newly created project without affecting unrelated subitems in the same folder or space.
  • User Chips: User chips can now be embedded directly in approval action instructions, allowing agents to reference individual users or user groups more reliably when assigning approvers or assignees.
  • Easier Agent Logs Access: New entry points make agent logs easier to access from the agent configuration page, space settings, and the work item stream, making it simpler to monitor and troubleshoot agent activity across your workspace.
