Task Level: Mention @followers in a taskโs comments, and everyone following that task gets notified. This includes those who are assigned, have commented, or have manually opted to follow.ย
Project Level: Want a project update to hit everyoneโs radar? Followers only, please! Ensure your teammates manually follow the project for updates via @followers, even if theyโre owners!ย
๐ Becoming a Follower

Manual: Simply click "Follow" on any task, project, or folder to stay updated at your own pace.ย
๐ฌ Receiving Notifications
@followers notifications can appear in both your Wrike Inbox and email. Customizable alert settings mean youโre always informed, your way!ย

My org hasn't been using @followers much and mainly rely on @assignees or @individuals when we need action on a given task/item, but as our use of Wrike evolves I can see it becoming more helpful.
Many of our stakeholders are not yet using Wrike, so most of the use cases I can think of for @followers would miss a lot of them so for now we will continue to need to leverage alternative ways of notifying them of important project updates like email or Slack.
Amy Augustyniak our company is the same and tries not to use the @followers tag as we feel that most may miss the message. We focus the most on @mentioning the individuals that need to be addressed directly. We also have automations populated using the @assignees tag. The @mentions is a crucial part of Wrike and we believe it's a game changer!

Our company relies heavily on @mention features in Wrike, which are incredibly valuable to our operations. However, the @followers feature presents a challenge, as it often creates issues for other users. The primary concern is that individuals may use the @followers tag without realizing whether the intended recipients are included in the follower list.
We have made every effort to remind users not to use the @followers tag improperly. However, as the company continues to grow, it becomes increasingly difficult to reach all employees consistently, and some may forget.
We recommend that Wrike introduce an option for Admin accounts to disable the @followers tag across all Wrike accounts within our organization. Implementing this feature would significantly reduce these challenges and enhance usability for our teams.
I agree with Zach ZK in that @followers tag can cause issues as most users simply do not take the time to review who is following the item. Often times it does not reach any of the intended recipients of the message and think it would be helpful to disable using this tag.
Appreciate your feedback on @followers Zach ZK and Kelsey Rudolph, I'll make sure our team receives it ๐

Wait, isn't @followers redundant? Don't followers already get a notification when there is a comment or update? Isn't that what following means?

Hi Tony Carrasquillo, welcome to the Community ๐
Apologies for not getting back to you sooner.
Followers receive an email notification if it's enabled, but @followers receive an Inbox notification. I hope this helps ๐
