AI Agents - Latest Updates
Available on Business and higher plans
We’ve introduced several enhancements to make building, configuring, and using AI Agents more intuitive and powerful, including upgraded creation actions and enhanced builder controls.
What’s new?
- Create Items from Blueprints: AI Agents can now launch complete, standardized structures, including parent items and subtasks, in a single step. Instead of building tasks field by field, automated workflows can spin up full project templates by pre-selecting a blueprint during action setup.
- Rich Formatted Descriptions: Items created by AI Agents no longer default to plain text. Agents can generate styled descriptions complete with headings, bullet points, checkbox lists, bold text, and colored highlights, fully preserved across execution logs and the testing playground.
- Save and Appoint Reminders: Your work in the conversational builder is protected. If you leave before appointing an agent, a pop-up lets you either "Add agent" to appoint it immediately or "Save for later." Agents begin running once appointed to a folder, project, task, or when @mentioned in a comment.
- Add a Wait Before Taking Action: Instruct agents to pause before executing an action (e.g., “Wait two minutes before doing anything”). This timer-based delay gives external integrations time to update fields before the agent acts, preventing actions on incomplete data.
- Notify Microsoft Teams Group Chats: AI Agents can now send contextual messages directly to MS Teams group chats via the Wrike for Microsoft Teams app, complete with links back to the originating Wrike item.
- Select Users and Locations with UI Chips: Configure agents with higher precision using interactive UI chips in the builder chat to select users and locations instead of manually typing names.

Inbox Improvements - Search and Filters Are Now Available
Available on all plans
We've introduced new search and filtering options in Inbox, making it easier to find important notifications across the Incoming, Sent, and Archive sections.
What's new?
1. Inbox Search
- You can now search for Inbox events across the Incoming, Sent, and Archive sections.
- When you enter characters or keywords in the search field, only Inbox events containing that text will be displayed.
- When search results are displayed, bulk actions such as Mark as unread and Archive all will apply only to those search results, and not to every notification in the section.
2. Inbox Filters
- You can now filter your Inbox to display Approvals, @mentions, or both.
- These filters help you quickly find and focus on your most important notifications.

Table & Gantt Views - Track Downstream Dependencies with the Successors Column
Gantt Chart - Available on Team and higher plans
Table View - Available on all plans
You can now add a Successors column in Table view and the Gantt chart table. Acting as the mirror image of the Predecessors column, it instantly shows which downstream tasks depend on the current task.
What's new?
- Fields Picker Integration: Add the Successors column directly from the Fields picker in Table view or the Gantt table.
- Grid Row Visibility: Easily view dependent tasks by row number directly within the table grid.
- In-Cell Dependency Editing: Edit dependencies directly inside the cell using row numbers and dependency types (e.g., FS, SS, FF, SF) along with lag duration (e.g., 9SS+2d).
- Bi-Directional Syncing: Adding a successor automatically updates the Predecessors column on the target task, and vice versa.
How to set it up:
- Open a project in Table view or Gantt view.
- Open the Fields picker menu.
- Search for and enable the Successors column.
- Type a row number into any Successor cell to establish a dependency.
Note: Scheduling behavior remains forward-driven, meaning dates flow downstream from predecessors to successors. Adding or editing a successor updates visibility and dependency lines without triggering backward scheduling.

Gantt Chart - Latest Updates
Available on Team and higher plans
We're thrilled to share three updates bringing the New Gantt Chart closer to full feature parity with the Old Gantt!
What's new?
- Start Constraints are now available in the New Gantt. Constrained tasks display a solid vertical line at the start of the task bar, just like in the Old Gantt. A new Start Constraint column can be added to the table to check, set, or clear constraints. Clearing a constraint lets the task follow its predecessor again.
- Shift-Drag for Dependency Chains: Hold Shift while dragging a task in a dependency chain and every active task, milestones included, moves together, keeping gaps intact. A normal drag without Shift still moves just that one task.
- Contextual Menu Reorganization: Canvas actions now sit in their own dedicated menu on the canvas for quicker access. The same options remain available as a submenu in the view's main contextual menu.

Dashboards - Add Reference Lines to Charts
Available on Team and higher plans
You can now add reference lines to column, bar, line, and area chart widgets in Dashboards. Reference lines make it easier to compare data against targets, thresholds, or benchmarks and turn charts into clear visual KPIs.
What's new?
- Add a reference line to column, bar, line, and area chart widgets.
- Set a value for the reference line and optionally customize its label and color.
- Reference line values automatically convert to match any changes to the chart's unit of measurement.
How to set it up
- Open the chart widget editor.
- Go to the Design tab.
- Toggle on the Reference line.
- Enter a value for the reference line to appear.
- Optionally, add a label and select a color.
Use reference lines to track progress against goals, highlight capacity or budget limits, and quickly see how actual results compare with expectations.

Dashboards - Choose How Calculated Custom Field Metrics Are Computed
Available on Team and higher plans
We've improved chart widgets to give you more control over how formulas in calculated custom fields are applied.
What's new?
- When adding a metric based on a calculated custom field, you can now choose a Calculate by method:
- Per line: Applies the formula to each row individually, then summarizes the results. This works best when the metric is meaningful for each row.
- Per group: Sums the values across all rows first, then applies the formula to the totals. This works best for ratio metrics such as ROI.

Dashboards - Clearer Hierarchy Options and a Simpler Default in New Table Widget
Available on Team and higher plans
We've updated the New Table Widget to make hierarchy settings easier to understand and provide a simpler starting experience when creating widgets.
What's new?
- "Projects and tasks structure" is now called "Nested projects and tasks."
- "Single list of tasks" is now called "Nested tasks only," clarifying that tasks are displayed hierarchically rather than as a flat list.
- Newly created Table widgets now use a flat structure by default.
These changes make it easier to understand display options and configure Table widgets to fit your reporting needs. Read more about the New Table View Widget in our Help Center article.
