Import a Presentation to a Whiteboard

TL;DR

Use Import > Presentation (not Convert > PDF) to add a PPTX/PDF to a Wrike whiteboard. Wrike auto-converts each slide to an image, keeps slide order, and creates a named zone per slide. After import, you can comment, add questions/stickies, or run a zone slideshow.

Overview

Use Import > Presentation to add a presentation to a whiteboard as slide images. Wrike uploads the file, converts each slide on the server, places the slides in order, and creates a zone for each slide automatically.

Important: If you want to import slides from a presentation, use Import > Presentation. Do not use Convert > PDF for this workflow. That option converts the file into vector objects instead of slide images.

How to Import a Presentation

  1. Open the whiteboard where you want to import the presentation.
  2. Click the three-dot 1 menu in the toolbar.
  3. Click Import 2.
  4. Select Presentation 3.
  5. Choose a supported file, such as a PDF or PPTX 4.
  6. Click Open 5 to upload the file.
  7. Important

Wrike checks the file format before the upload starts. If the file type isn’t supported, you’ll see an error message, and the upload won’t begin.

  8. Wait while Wrike uploads and converts the file. How to Import a Presentation 3.gif

Note

While the upload is in progress, you’ll see a loading message. Click Cancel if you want to stop the import.

What Wrike Adds to the Whiteboard

After the import finishes, Wrike automatically:

  • Converts each slide into an image
  • Places all slide images on the whiteboard in one horizontal row
  • Keeps the original slide order
  • Creates one zone for each slide
  • Names each zone with the slide number and file name
  • Selects all imported slides and zones
  • Opens the zone summary, if it isn’t open already
  • Zooms to the first two imported slides

Note

You don’t need to convert slides manually, align them, or create zones one by one.

What You Can Do Next

After import, you can:

  • Comment on slides
  • Add questions
  • Add stickies
  • Present the deck with the existing zone slideshow
