[Status: Not planned] Task Dashboard Widget: Group by Project
It would be useful to be able to define a task list widget that would group tasks from the same project together under a project heading, preferably a click-able heading that takes you to the project info. It would also be helpful if these groups were collapsible, but that's an extra.
This is huge for our organization. JIRA has this, but Wrike does not. The only option is to currently create a widget by Project by Project or deal with an overload of tasks from many projects that cannot be sorted easily.
Yes, this would make the dashboard much more usable.
Yes, please. This would be quite helpful in organizing tasks.
Hey guys, thanks for your votes and comments here! For now, the idea is not planned by our Product team, but things might change - I'll let you know if that happens.
Thanks for posting!

Hey everyone, this is not currently planned by our Product team. I'll let you know if there are any updates to do with this suggestion.
Thank you for the feedback!
Another vote for this! it would be very helpful to be able to sort widgets in the dashboard based on their folder name.
Hi Caitlin Beaty, thank you for this feedback! It's been passed on to the Product team.
Nevertheless the product team is informed - this feature is important and will help to convince my management to roll out wrike companywide...
Yes, we need search, folders and more ways to manage dashboards and their widgets :-)

Hi Helge Strickstrack and Neyl Walecki,
Thank you for sharing your interest in this suggestion! No updates at the moment, I'll be sure to keep you posted as soon as I have any new information in relation to this idea.
Similar to this if you could filter a dashboard by not only the folder's name, but also by task name. Basically by keywords. I'm just getting into Wrike, it's really good, but this feature is missing so much!
Thank you for adding your support here Domokos Pásztor!
This would be very needed for us
Hey MB, thanks for supporting this suggestion 👍

The ability to add multiple dashboard filters (ex. Specific project + Specific folder) would be most useful!
Hi Filip Léonard, thank you for adding your support here🙌🏼
We need to have a Dashboard with some of their project tasks and status in a High level, and to be able to have the big picture in one single page.
Adding onto this thread! I would LOVE to have the capability of grouping tasks by project on widgets. Being able to have varying status widgets organized that way in ONE place rather than multiple reports would be game changing.
Hello Calloway Anderson, welcome to the Community! Thank you for supporting this idea, we will keep you informed in case we receive any updates regarding this feature 👍

I would love to have a Widget that allows me to pull both specific projects and tasks (for us, based off of custom fields) so that I can look ALL the items each Team member is current working on in one Dashboard. So if there are 10 Team members, each team member would have 1 widget dedicated to them that may show a combination of one off tasks and projects combined.
My team is asking for this feature, as well. Has anyone found a decent workaround? The only thing I've been able to come up with is report that groups tasks by projects/folders.
Hi Jen Loomis, here's how you can group by project:
Please, let us know if you have any additional questions 🙂
Hello Michelle Barnes Gideon, creating two widgets - one for tasks and another for projects - in the same Dashboard wouldn't be an option for you? You could create a Dashboard for each team member containing these two widgets.
Looking forward to your reply!
@... Thanks for sharing the group by project tip. Unfortunately, the Dashboard is for a key stakeholder to see a Team of 12 people who have a large group of projects and tasks they are working with, he didn't want to see 24 Widgets on one Dashboard or go through multiple Dashboards to get the information. I am trying to learn the new Dashboards while trying to find ways that I can report red flags when dates aren't the main red flag indicator, or the dates are not put in all the way.
@... Thank you for your response. I am able to create the view that you suggested, but I don't understand how that (or any of the views in the new dashboard, honestly) is helpful. Users need to see their actual tasks, not a count of how many tasks they have. Am I missing something??? I'm attaching a mock-up of what we're trying to achieve. In this example, Alyssa would be able to see on her dashboard only the tasks assigned to her, but grouped by the projects they belong to.
Hi Michelle Barnes Gideon Jen Loomis thank you for your replies. Michelle, I've passed your feedback on to our relevant team.
Jen, I believe that in your case it could be useful to create a widget based on tasks and in the Break by option select Location, which will result in something like this (please see screenshot attached below):
Could this be an option for you?
The lack of the ability to group by, or even include, project name in a table widget of tasks (as well as in Table reports) is the one reason my team still needs analytics boards. (And believe me, we'd LOVE to get out of those in favor of the new Dashboards!)
We have several custom task types that need to be grouped by, or at least have the name of the project associated with them in list widgets. (The workaround of having these kinds of tasks in a folder within the project with a name reminiscent of the project itself is clunky and manual and doesn't really give us what we need in reporting.)
Thanks for the detailed feedback Amy Augustyniak, I'm sending it to the team responsible for dashboards!
