[From Wrike] Wrike Community Ice-Breaker Marathon 2023 ๐ง - DAY 1
Hello Community,
We're delighted to kick-start our Wrike Community Ice-Breaker Marathon 2023 ๐
Every day this week, we will be posting an intriguing challenge for you to take part in, for the chance to win a spot at a live Wrike Collaborate 2023 Training of your choice (value $299). We hope you're eager and ready for the fun ๐
Also, for one Community member who takes part in all of the challenges, there's another prize... a $100 Amazon voucher ๐ช So be sure to take part every day!ย
Let's get things going... ๐
DAY 1:
If you could create an automation rule to avoid any repetitive tasks in your life, what would it be? For instance, I'd create an action to automatically wash the dishes fired by the trigger: "Your sink is full!".
In the comments below, share your creative automation rule for a chance to win a spot at a live Wrike Collaborate Training of your choice!
One participant will be chosen randomly to be our winner, and the full T&Cs for today's competition can be found here.
Remember, participating in all of our daily challenges puts you in the running to win a $100 Amazon voucher! You can review the full T&Cs for this here.
We'll be announcing today's winner tomorrow, and the next challenge will go live at the same time โจ
Best of luck!ย
I would make an automation rule "Close the door" triggered by stupid questions people are knocking at the office door with.
I would like to have an automation called: "Give our employees intuitive inspiration when using Wrike", with the trigger: "today > rollout date Lightspeed".
:-)
I would make a rule to fold the laundry triggered by the dryer completing its cycle.ย
I would like a trigger to clean the cats litter boxes with the trigger of every morning at 7am. ๐ฑ
I would have an automation rule that always kept my mug full with the optimal amount of coffee
I would create an automation rule to filter all, let's say, "unskilled" drivers off the road that I am on, just route them to a wholly separate lane just for them - like a Spam filter!ย :-)ย
I would make an automation rule that notifies people "If it is not in Wrike, it doesn't exist" when they are asking about "hallway" projects and actually did not submit an actual project request in Wrike.
My automation rule would be for the grass to automatically cut itself once the grass reaches a certain height!
My automation rule would be to have breakfast ready for the kids triggered by then saying mom what's for breakfastย ย
I'd create an automation rule to open/close my glass slider everytime my dog wants in or out, which on any give day can be 7-10 times
My rule would be to unload the dishwasher triggered by the cleaning cycle completion!ย
I'd create an automation rule to clean up after my kids, triggered every time they leave a room.ย
(I also 2nd Sarah Dungey laundry automation.)ย
I'd create an automation rule to fix whatever dinner I planned for the night, complete with doing the needed grocery shopping in advance so all the ingredients would be on hand for said meal.
ย I would create an action to easy my morning routine triggered by: "What is the one new thing you want to learn today?".
I would make an automation rule that always makes the train come at the optimal time. Triggered by: "Rebecca walks down into the subway station" and the action is "train arrives".ย
I would make an automation rule that would have dinner ready and waiting for us on weeknights after my daughter's sports practices and games.ย
I would create an automation rule would be an action to tell me to breathe and meditate when anyone misses their deadline then send an automatic nudge.
ย
I would create an automation that transfers the washed laundry into the dryer automatically (to avoid me forgetting it's in there and having to rewash it!)
My automation rule would be have grocery item added to the list when running low and then a weekly automation to reorder the list in store aisle order!ย
ย
I also agree with the folding laundry automation!ย
Trigger: Wife leaves car keys on counter, kitchen table, window sill, or any other random flat surface.
Action: "Please put your keys on the key ring!"
I'd create an automation rule to prepare me some snacks triggered by my hunger!ย
I would create an automation rule "fill up that glass with the alcohol of choice for the night" triggered by it being a 6pm on a Friday.
I'd go a little more pragmatic and make a rule that says "change the status to 'Stale' on all tasks that haven't been updated within one week of being created."
I also upvote the perpetually full and hot cup of coffee!
I would make an automation that would move laundry from the washer to the dryer and BONUS, it comes out folded!ย
As someone who has dabbled with Home Assistant, some of these things certainly could be made into automated tasks or at least notify someone about it.
That said, if I could create any automation, however, it would be to have my lawn not only cut & edged, but have the proper (and exact, correct dose) of fertilizer, insecticides, and pre-emergent/weed control put down every time. They make automated lawn mowers, but if they could make automated lawn mowers with weed & feed...that'd be what I'd get.
I was happy with a simple automation that would login into my wrike stars app everytime it kicked me out :-)
Dan Harper you know status changes can already be automated within wrike?
I'd love an automation rule to have a clean bathroom triggered every weekend so I didn't have to scrub it!
I would create an automation rule that would "fill up my gas tank" triggered by the low fuel notice.
The automation I would like to totally relates to me and taking care of myself - automate me to get a full night's sleep, walk daily, drink water, Stretch, take 10 beeeep breaths, and take control of my day. This should be automatic for anyone, but I allow work, family, and that "shiny thing" that is a distraction take me off my planned course.ย
