Let's get things going... ๐
DAY 1:
If you could create an automation rule to avoid any repetitive tasks in your life, what would it be? For instance, I'd create an action to automatically wash the dishes fired by the trigger: "Your sink is full!".

In the comments below, share your creative automation rule for a chance to win a spot at a live Wrike Collaborate Training of your choice!
One participant will be chosen randomly to be our winner, and the full T&Cs for today's competition can be found here.
Remember, participating in all of our daily challenges puts you in the running to win a $100 Amazon voucher! You can review the full T&Cs for this here.
We'll be announcing today's winner tomorrow, and the next challenge will go live at the same time โจ
Best of luck!ย
Jeanette Wells you are really scaring me! :D
I would create an automation to zap weeds in my landscaping with the trigger being "as soon as they break the surface."
And I wholly agree with the laundry, dishes, coffee and 6 p.m. Friday alcohol triggers too!
I would like an automation to 'Clean Up Child Toys' triggered when they go to bed.ย
I would create a rule that a full cup of water appears beside my laptop whenever I switch rooms
- if I take my laptop with me
- and if I stay for more than 15 min in this room.
I would create an automation that would trigger every time someone said, "I can do that before the next meeting." The automation would create a 1 hour block on their calendar to ensure they have time and a reminder to actually do the thing before the next meeting.
It would also shorten the next meeting by five minutes.ย
ย
Definitely laundry. I would love an automation once the basket status is "full" it gets put in the washer and started
I would create a rule to clip my dogs nails, triggered by starting to hear the clicking noise of those nails on my floor the moment they get too big.ย
I second many of the daily life tasks related already submitted, especially the dinner related ones from @Melissa Mourer and @Devree Czupinski. What I add, I would create an automation to wash the floors triggered by the phrase "what was spilled here?"
I would have an automation rule to plan what to cook for tea - triggered by any member of my family asking "what's for tea?"! It would automatially check the fridge and freezer for ingredients!
My automation would be to have dinner cooked with the trigger "it's 5 o-clock".ย
I would create an automation to clean my house and make my meals. Of course the meals would be based on what I'm in the mood to eat.
I would create an automation to have dinner prepared and served triggered by my husband asking "What should we do for dinner?"
I would also like one that cleaned the floor triggered by any foreign material touching it, lol.
I'd create an automation rule to say hello wake up now, triggered every time I push the snooze button on my alarm clock.ย
My automation would be to turn my living room into a dance floor everyday at 6pm when I'm done work. Have a specific Spotify playlist being playing, change the lights, and shake out the end of day energy. Triggered by, "I'm done!"
Actually, I think I'll set that up right now! lol
And a second automation attached - Prepping vegetables for dinner, so much prep and knife work before meals can come together. So while I'm dancing, the prep takes care of itself and I can hop in after :)
I would like an automation for every time a colleague comes to my table and asks me for information if a task opens automatically within the correct project
Are self-cleaning lint traps a thing...? I would love an automation to clean the lint trap in my dryer triggered by the sensor noticing it's full!ย
I would create an automation to buy new clothes that matched the correct season and always fit me while donating clothes I already put in a separate bin, with the trigger being the beginning of a new quarter.
A rule that triggers presentment of a menu every day as lunch time approaches, then orders, then delivers would be fantastic! Oh, and calories don't count and the food is also free.ย
I would automate cooking and cleaning up afterwards with the trigger "make me food!"
I would create an automation to automatically feed my cat...the trigger when he looks up at me with those big eyes and meows at me....might not be great for his waistline though. lol
I would appreciate an automation for the right amount of creamer added to my coffee each morning. Could likely be accomplished by the color of the coffee.
Yes, an automation that would always have the ideal drink on my desk: fresh, cold water when I'm thirsty, coffee when I'm getting tired and a beer when I'm done with the workweek.ย
I'd automate workout completions triggered by the mere thought of exercise! I'd be fitter than ever before.
I would create an automation rule to refuel my truck triggered when fuel level hits 1/4 full โย and take it to the car wash every other occurrence.
I would like an automation to add one or more hours to the day if necessary.
or
Change the weather to match my mood.
Loving all the ones so far, and can especially relate to the "fill up my gas tank" task!
As I am also the first contact for any IT related issues, I would automate a text send to any person wanting to send me an email with a question to prompt them to "turn it off and back on again!" prior to emailing me.
I'd create an automation rule to walk the dogs - triggered by their barks to go out at the back door.
Re-reading I want to change mine to match the "cook my dinner!" automation suggestion above. Definitely the hardest part of the day!
Hmmm. I have a dog who wakes me up, triggered by daylight. I would like to set it to "only on workdays"
I would like an AI-generated menu based on the food available in the kitchen to be texted to my husband, triggered by him saying, "What's for dinner?"
Wow! Reading through everyone's posts now and I think I am seeing a pain-point pattern!
