Hello Community,
We're delighted to kick-start our Wrike Community Ice-Breaker Marathon 2023 ๐
Every day this week, we will be posting an intriguing challenge for you to take part in, for the chance to win a spot at a live Wrike Collaborate 2023 Training of your choice (value $299). We hope you're eager and ready for the fun ๐
Also, for one Community member who takes part in all of the challenges, there's another prize... a $100 Amazon voucher ๐ช So be sure to take part every day!ย
Let's get things going... ๐
DAY 1:
If you could create an automation rule to avoid any repetitive tasks in your life, what would it be? For instance, I'd create an action to automatically wash the dishes fired by the trigger: "Your sink is full!".

In the comments below, share your creative automation rule for a chance to win a spot at a live Wrike Collaborate Training of your choice!
One participant will be chosen randomly to be our winner, and the full T&Cs for today's competition can be found here.
Remember, participating in all of our daily challenges puts you in the running to win a $100 Amazon voucher! You can review the full T&Cs for this here.
We'll be announcing today's winner tomorrow, and the next challenge will go live at the same time โจ
Best of luck!ย
I would create an automation rule to "close the door" when my dogs bark during a conference call.ย
I would create an automation to force me awake and select my fitness routine of the day, triggered by my attempt at snoozing the alarm.
There are so many amazing automation rules that people came up with.ย I want them all!ย For me - I gotta go with a rule for anytime someone asks me "What's for Dinner" - Dinner makes itself from anything random in my kitchen or pantry ... could be good, could be terrible - but ya gotta eat it!ย :D
I've read through everyone else's. I'm going to be a contrarian here and admit that I'm weird and actually like switching the laundry and folding it, and I am incredibly lucky because my husband loves grocery shopping and cooking, so no need for automation rules there either. However, I really, really hate making appointments โ it's the only thing I really procrastinate on in life โ so that's my answer: an automation trigger that makes those appointments for me. (We're close to that being real, right?)
I would make an automation where $10,000 is deposited into my bank account every month. ๐ That would trigger a lot of problem solving.
When: Time changes to 0400
Condition: It's a day that ends in "y"
Action: Replenish the cat food
I would create an automation to feed my cats can food every am and pm along with scooping the boxes and discarding it.
I need an automation rule that insists my kids do their homework before giving them access to watch YouTube or play other games on their computers. Then I could stop reminding them every 10 minutes to get their work done! (If I had a nickel for every time I've said "get your homework done!"... I'd be sooo rich.)
I'd create an action to reorder coffee syrups when the bottle has reached 20% left -- my syrups are in a little holder thing that makes it so I can't see the levels and y'all, you don't know how many times I've gone to inject that sweet sweet flavor into my morning coffee and it'sย empty.ย
I'd create a rule that brushes my dog's coat once a week to eliminate the extra time I spend cleaning up the shedding that ends up everywhere. #dogmomlife #howdidthatgetthere
I need an automation rule where every time I click "New Meeting" in Outlook it automatically opens a Task in Wrike for "Meeting Notes" and drops the link to my Wrike meeting notes task into the body of the Outlook invite where I can easily tag it into my Project using the Wrike-Outlook Add-In pane to the right.ย ย
I'd have an automation to auto charge my phone whenever it hits 20 percent!
I would create an automation that makes new tasks when I think of them, without needing to actually go into Wrike to do it.
I'd like to create a rule which would send out funny and awakening puzzles to all my team mates at 2 pm after lunch every Monday - when folks are struggling to keep their eyes wide open in front of their pcs.ย
I would create an automation rule that when I open a box in my garage that contains decor for a particular holiday (i.e., Fall, Halloween, Christmas, etc.) that it would unpack itself and automatically display the items where they look best, whether inside or outside, and then re-pack themselves after the holiday.ย ย
I would create a rule so when I approach my front door, I have my keys in my hands. This just happened before I left for work where I forgot about them and so had to rush back to my room for them.
I'd create an automation rule that triggered a robotic vacuum every time a piece of dust or cat hair was detected! (And if I could invent a whole-house robotic duster at the same time, that would be a dream come true!)
I have 5 kids, so I definitely would have an automation set to clean up the toys, the trigger being "right before I step on any Lego barefoot."
I would create an automation rule that lets my dog out in the wee hours of the morning & feeds her too.
I would create an automation rule that gave the distance and time to location, triggered by question "Are we there yet?"
I would create a rule that would automatically log meaningful updates for all Wrike tasks the user worked on, enter their time contributions, and update each task status when they shut down their machine at the end of the day.
I would create an action to automatically stock my fridge triggered by the words โThereโs nothing good here to eat!โ
Definitely an automation to strip my bed, wash and dry the sheets, and remake it. Every day. (If I could have one luxury, it would be clean sheets every day.)
I would create an automation to automatically add items to the grocery list once they are finished as well as an automation to wake me up at a certain time to no longer hear my jarring phone alarm first thing in the morning!
I would create an automation to open the back door with the trigger being "dog standing at back door" as when he is out, he wants in and vice versa. (Alternatively, I could just get a doggie door installed)ย
Definitely change kitty litter on kitty visit.....
I would create an automation rule to get kids ready for school
Thank you very much everyone for your creative replies! ๐
We're closing this challenge now and we will publish the second one today - and we will announce the winner of this first challenge as well!
