[Status: Not planned] Due date-time

I want to be able to define a due time for tasks, not just due date. There are specific , time sensitive, tasks that need to be delivered on a specific time during the day. At the moment we need to enter this information at the task title which is not ideal.

Also using the "duration" doesn't work because the team then needs to agree on a convention i.e. 4 hours of duration means 1pm . And what about 9pm? How would we indicate that?

I'm sorry to hear that William Hopkins-Trumm! Please let me know if you'd like me to arrange a call with your Account Manager - they might be able to advise you. In regards to this suggestion, unfortunately, I don't have an update from the team and the status hasn't changed.

William Hopkins-Trumm What will you do with all the data and history you have in Wrike? It does not export into any usable database.  Lisa What does happen to someone's data when they leave? If the ability to convert the entire account data into a CSV or something is not an option, and the backup format is unusable, what do customers do? There is so much history and information within the Wrike database for any company using it.

Hi 1Marjorie Downey,

This is an excellent question you've asked, thank you!

All of the data within your Wrike account will remain safe and secure on our servers until you delete the account. So even if you don't renew your subscription, all of your data remains right where you left it and will be accessible again once you reactivate your subscription or downgrade to our Free plan.

With regards to downgrading to our Free plan, none of your Wrike data is lost, but some of it may be inaccessible in the Free plan due to certain features being only available on paid subscriptions.

There are also several features which you can use to save your Wrike data outside of Wrike. For example, you can export your spaces, projects, folders, and tasks to Excel (https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037345013-Export-Data-to-Excel). This will provide you a readable file that shows the folder tree structure, the workflows and statuses of your tasks, start and due dates, assignees, descriptions, custom field data, and more. Please note that file attachments cannot be exported to Excel.

Using our Account Backup feature (https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/209605749-Account-Backup), you can save all of your Wrike account's data including file attachments. The data is backed up in JSON format, which isn't made for human eyes, but can be read using additional software.

And even if you choose to export your data to Excel or use our Account Backup feature, all of your data will still remain secure within Wrike until you choose to delete it, whether or not you have an active subscription with us.

I hope you found this information helpful. Please let us know if you have any questions 😄

Have a productive day!

Lisa would you be able to check with your dev team if it is possible to add a "due time" field that isn't necessarily related to the due date, meaning that even if a task's due time is 1pm on 12/17, it won't show as overdue until 12:00am on 12/18. I'm assuming the challenge with adding the due time is due to its relation to the due date, so I'm wondering if decoupling them would make it easier for your dev team to add it as an independent field. This would at the very least allow for the due time to be visible on "my to-do" and other areas where due time is a critical component. Looking forward to your feedback. Thanks!

Welcome to the Community, Ricardo Ludtke, and thank you for posting your feedback! As far as I know (and I check regularly), the team doesn't have plans for adding time-related fields either. I'll pass on your feedback anyway though, and if I have an update from them, I'll make sure to let you know!
