AI Agents - Active Locations, Visible Filters & More
Available on Business and higher plans
AI Addendum: Must be signed by the account owner
Setting up AI Agents just got simpler and more reliable, helping you build agents that do exactly what you need.
What's new?
- Appoint an agent right inside the settings form: A new Active locations section lets you add or remove the tasks, folders, and projects an agent runs on, directly in the settings, applied when you save. Open an existing agent to see and edit every location it's appointed to in one place. (Creating an agent with no location is still allowed, so it never blocks you.)
- Filters now visible on every action: The Filters section now sits at the bottom of each expanded action card, always in view. Filter out items you don't want the agent to act on (like completed tasks) to narrow its scope and reduce monthly AI usage.
- More ready-to-go ideas on the agents page: Two new tiles link straight to the AI Agent Build-Off and the AI Agents Library in the community, so you can grab proven use cases instead of starting from scratch.

Gantt Charts - Programme & Portfolio Timelines with Cross-Project Dependencies
Available on Pinnacle and higher plans
Cross-project dependencies and milestones on project bars are now available! You can build programme and portfolio timelines natively in Gantt, linking projects together and tracking them all on one timeline.
What's new?
- Project dependencies: Link projects directly in Gantt or from the item view, just like task dependencies work today.
- Milestones on project bars: Every milestone in a project shows right on its bar, so key dates across a whole programme are visible without opening each project.
- Show milestones only: A new display setting (in the three-dot menu) hides project and task bars, leaving just the milestones and their dependency lines for a PERT network-style view. It's saved at the view level, so it carries over to snapshots and shared views.
- Predecessor info and delays: Downstream projects now show which project caused a change and roughly how much delay it introduces, instead of a generic conflict flag.
- Inbox notifications: Set up automations to get notified in your Wrike inbox when a direct predecessor project changes status - no manual checking needed.
- Public API access: Project dependency data is now available via API for integrations and custom reporting.
📝 Note on rescheduling: Changing a parent project's dates prompts you to shift its sub-projects too - nothing reschedules automatically. Dependent projects stay put and show a conflict indicator with delay details instead.

- Supported Locations: Configure approval rules inside Work Item view, Request Forms, and Workflows.

Dashboards - Color Customization

Users with edit permissions can now customize dashboard colors to align with branding or personal preferences without affecting account-wide settings.
What’s new?

- Custom Palettes: Build a custom color palette for that dashboard. Widgets apply your colors in order, followed by their shades, giving you direct control over how many shades each color uses.
- Dashboard-Wide Application: Apply your custom colors across all widgets on the dashboard, including workflow statuses and custom fields, without changing any account-wide settings.
- Reset Individual Widgets: Revert any single widget back to default colors via the widget's three-dot menu.
- Precise Color Picker & Presets: Select colors using HEX codes or the eyedropper tool, and save custom colors as reusable presets.
- Light & Dark Mode Preview: Preview your design in both light and dark mode before saving.
Who can use it:
- Anyone with Editor or Full permissions on a dashboard can customize its design.

Activity Report - Detailed Actor Type Information
Available on Pinnacle and Apex plans
We’re introducing a deeper level of transparency to the Activity Report. Administrators can now see precisely how changes were made in Wrike - whether through the UI, Automation, Wrike AI Agents, API, or AI via MCP. These new details help admins better understand updates and maintain trust as humans and AI agents collaborate.
What’s new?
- Actor Type Column: Identify the exact method of change across five distinct categories: UI, Automation, Wrike Agents, API, or MCP.
- App Name & Client ID: View source application details directly within the report where applicable.
- Actor Filtering: Filter Activity Reports by specific Actor Types to audit system events faster.

AI Work Intake via Wrike MCP - Request Forms and Blueprints
Available on all plans (Wrike MCP Server, self-serve setup)
AI assistants connected to Wrike MCP can now transform unstructured requests into structured work directly within chat, turning natural language into actionable work items.
What's new?
- Smart form discovery: AI assistants automatically identify the most relevant Request Form or Blueprint based on natural language prompts, emails, or notes - no manual searching required.
- Conversational pre-filling: The AI reads the required template structure, pre-fills fields from the provided context, and gathers any missing details conversationally to ensure complete submissions.
- Streamlined submission: Proposed details are presented for user confirmation before automatically submitting the Request Form or launching work from a Blueprint, keeping you in control.

Collaborating on whiteboards is now smoother and faster with native direct sharing and location-independent boards directly within Wrike.

- Instant Notifications: Invited collaborators receive direct Wrike Inbox notifications (and emails based on preferences) along with any custom note included by the sender.
- Location-Independent Boards: Whiteboards no longer require a mandatory folder or project location in Wrike. Create standalone boards or unlink existing ones; owners and invited users retain full access.
- Audit Log Tracking: Account admins receive complete visibility with all whiteboard sharing invitations recorded in the Audit Log.
Note: For restricted whiteboards, hover over the Share button tooltip to adjust access settings. For public boards, the UI provides a direct copyable link for external participants.
