Conditional Follow-up Questions in Request Forms

Table 37. Availability - Legacy plans

Overview

Space admins can manage request forms in their spaces. Account admins and owners can manage account-level request forms. On Enterprise accounts, this right can be revoked from account admins.

You can create dynamic request forms that include different questions and change the attributes of the task or project they create based on the answers given.

When the form respondent selects a specific Single answer or Importance option you can choose to:

  • Add a follow-up question to get more information

  • Redirect them to the next page of the form to a different set of questions

  • Complete and submit the form

Add conditional follow-up questions

  1. Navigate to the request form builder for the relevant form.

  2. Add a Single answer or Importance question.

  3. Add all the necessary response options.

  4. Click the branching icon Request_Forms-Branching_icon.png to the right of one of the options.

    1. To add a question: Hover over Add follow-up question and select Paragraph, then fill out the added question.

      Note

At the moment, if you make the follow-up question mandatory, it won't be displayed to users who submit the form via Wrike's mobile apps.

Currently, only one follow-up question is available. It's not possible to add a follow-up question to a follow-up question.

    2. To redirect to a different page: Hover over Redirect and select an existing page if you've already created more than one or choose Go to a new page to create a new one.

    3. To complete the form: Hover over Redirect and select Submit form. If users select the corresponding answer, they'll see the Submit button even if there are more pages in the form.

Repeat Steps 2-5 until you’ve added all necessary pages and questions. Click the Add action button to add other conditional branching actions to the same answer option if necessary (i.e., creating an approval). When you’re finished making changes to your form, click Publish or Save.

Note

For redirects to work correctly, there shouldn’t be more than one redirect per page.
