Control AI Permissions by User Type

TL;DR

Admins can control AI access by user type, enabling gradual rollout and tighter governance. Manage capabilities (Copilot, AI Agents, Widget Generator, AI Essentials) individually via Account Management → User Types → [select type] → AI tab, then toggle permissions on/off as needed.

Overview

Admins can manage AI permissions by user type. This lets you control which groups can use specific AI capabilities, so you can roll out access gradually and keep tighter governance over AI features.

You can manage these capabilities individually:

How to Control AI Permissions by User Type

  1. Open Account Management 1.

  1. Click User Types 2.
  2. Open the AI tab 3.
  3. Select the User type(s) 4 you want to update.
  4. Turn these permissions 5 on or off as needed:

Note

  • Use these settings to roll out AI features in stages.
  • You can limit advanced AI capabilities to selected user types.
  • Current AI Agent permissions govern the creation and management of agents, but they do not restrict users from adding existing agents to locations.
  • This gives you more control over governance and compliance.
