๐ฌ Releases-Project progress, Tableau, and proofing comments (03/20/19)
Feature Updates
Project Progress is inย Labs
Wrike automatically calculates how aย project is progressing. And there are options for how progress is calculated: 1) tasks completed, 2) duration, 3) a combination of 1 + 2. Start tracking!
Wrike & Tableauย
Connect Wrike and Tableau accounts to createย BI reports. Not familiar with Tableau? There's more on theย Help Center.ย
Access Reportsย on Enterpriseย
Use Access Reports to see what is shared with who. One reason to be excited: this will make it easier to see what's shared with a group.ย
Small (but big) - Manage Custom Fields on the Gantt Chartย
You don't have to go to the Table View anymore, add or edit Custom Fields from the table portion of the Gantt Chart.ย
Download Files with Comments (in Labs!)
When you download files from Wrike, you can choose to download the proofing comments that go along with them.ย
@mentions + Days Off
You'll see "unavailable" written next to someone's name if you and @mention them on a day that they have marked as a non-working day.ย
Fixes
Where are Request Forms?
In some cases, admins couldn't access Request Forms or create new ones. That wasn't right, we fixed it.ย
Changing Date Format on Snapshots
If you had the date format dd/mm/yy, your Gantt Chart Snapshot still used the mm/dd/yy format. We stopped the flip-flop and your date format sticks in Snapshots.ย
Adding custom fields to the Gantt chart is huge! ย These small things make life so much easier on a day to day basis. ย Thank you and keep on keepin' on!
Great to hear Rachel! ๐ Thank you for your feedback.
It would be great to hearย what Custom fields are important for you in this view and how this affects your day to day?ย I'm sure other members are wondering how people are leveraging this feature in Gantt View. Feel free to share your brief insight in the Best Practice section ๐
Hi there. I have a quick question about the progress status. This project below has all tasks marked as complete, yet it shows i have 10 outstanding tasks, and my project is at 94%. I even marked the project complete, that turned the red to black, but still stayed at 94%.ย I did a thorough filtering to make sure i did not have any outstanding tasks. all are marked complete, using the default workflow for the project except 5 cancelled and 2 On Hold.ย It makes no sense.ย
@Marj, so based on your selection, you have 176 out of 186 tasks completed which gives you a 94% of completion of this project. You can also choose different criteria, such as โDuration of taskโ so you might get a different % of project progress.
From your above feedback, our team is investigating if they should change the logic a little around inactive task like On Hold so it does not influence the overall progress of a project - what are your thoughts on this, i.e. if a task is on-hold should it affect the overall % of completion?
For me, I feel like it should affect itย because it's just On-Hold or Delayed and still needs to be completed to complete the project.
Would love to hear yours, and everyone's thoughts on this ๐
@Stephen, I found that Cancelled tasks are included int the overall completion, I believe those should not be included. We like to keep track of all tasks in a project, even ones that did not apply at the time.ย
On-Hold and Delayed should be included, as they don't show up in regular All Active filters. This way, they won't be forgotten.ย
Marj
I totally agree, let me pass this feedback to the Product Team for their review. Thanks for sharing! ๐
