- Dashboards: New Text Widget ๐
Weโre excited to introduce the new Text widget, a fully revamped widget type that replaces the Notepad widget! This intuitive text editor lets you:

- Customize fonts, colors, and formatting.
- Remove the default header for cleaner, more flexible layouts.
- Easily create and edit text right from the Dashboard.
- Add helpful links (and image support is a work in progress!)

All previous Notepad widgets have been automatically converted to this new Text widgetโno manual action is required!

- Dashboards: Advanced Filters in Dashboards ๐
Dashboard tables now support powerful new filtering optionsโthey now include all the capabilities you know from Table view, bringing consistency and flexibility to your Dashboards.

- Filter groups: Combine filters using AND/OR logic, just like in Table view.
- Parent & Name Filters: Narrow results by item hierarchy or through text-based name searches.
- Separate widget editors: Enjoy focused widget editors for tables and charts, paving the way for faster innovations and easier updates.
Note: New filters in Dashboard are still in Wrike Labs, while the separate editors are generally available.
- Dashboards: Drag & Drop with New Filters ๐ค
The familiar Drag & Drop functionality now works seamlessly with the updated filters, so you can change statuses and categories on the fly without losing advanced filtering power. Especially useful in operational Dashboards and team workflows.
- Custom Field Descriptions: Now Available for All Users โก๏ธ
Custom field descriptions help everyone easily understand the purpose of custom fields, removing guesswork and enhancing transparency in your processes. This is now visible to all usersโnot just admins!

Hereโs where youโll find them:
- All Tables: Hover over a column to view the field description.
- Item View: Hover over a custom field in the custom fields pane to see its details.
- Custom Field Pickers: See descriptions and metadata when adding or selecting a custom field.
These tooltips go beyond just descriptionsโthey also display the field type, available options (for single- or multi-select fields), and other key details to help you work more efficiently.

Please note: Custom field info tooltips are not yet supported in some views, like Board view and Calendars.

- Spaces: Centralized Spaces Table ๐๏ธ
Easily review, search, sort, and manage all your spaces from a new, centralized table!

Account owners and admins now have a permission to take action on any public spaceโeven without being space adminsโso you can keep your workspace organized by quickly archiving, unarchiving, or deleting spaces as needed.

To find the Centralized Spaces Table, navigate to your profile image in the sidebar, select Settings, then go to Spaces under Account Management.

Who can access and manage spaces:
ย
- All admins and regular users who can edit spaces will see this table.
- Regular users can view and manage spaces they are admins of.
- Admins can manage all public spaces and any spaces they are admins of.
- On Enterprise and Pinnacle accounts, the Manage all public spaces permission can be assigned through User Types in account settings.

๐ Please Note: Admins cannot manage locked spaces unless they are already a space admin. Archived spaces canโt be edited until they are unarchived.

Quick question - will the and/or logic eventually apply to chart widgets as well as table widgets? I am noticing I can only match any/all or add a filter group to the table widgets. Thanks!
I love the Centralized Spaces Table! This is very helpful to see an overview of all Spaces, the Members, links to the Spaces, etc. Being able to Archive and Unarchive from here is great, too.
Hi Devree Czupinski ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ. Yes, that's correctโthe AND/OR logic is currently available in Table widgets filters. While the team is working toward feature parity, there is currently no information on whether this will eventually be applied to chart widgets. However, we will definitely keep everyone in the loop if this changes. Thank you!

I wish we'd had the ability to beta test the Table vs. Chart widget split! We used to be able to convert and duplicate seamlessly, so a table would have the same filters and contents as the chart version and vice versa. This really sped up our dashboard development efforts and allowed us to swap a widget between table view for a data-driven audience and chart view for a visual summary without missing a beat. We're also sad to see the settings options change, just as we'd solved some thorny configuration problems!ย
Is it just me, but when I convert the dashboard widget to the new filter option, I seem to be losing my existing filters vs them carrying over to the new format....
David Wayne Happens to me too, it's likely happening to all! Perhaps you can post this as a recommendation in the Product Feedback thread :) I would definitely support it!ย

Question - did the conversion also break the "drill-down" function for some chart types? We used to be able to click on a chart component (e.g. Category A in a pie chart or column chart) and see a popup table with all the entries that made up Category A's content in the chart, clickable to the actual item record.

Nothing has changed in the drill-down function, so that's quite odd. Unless itโs an unsupported category for breakdown, such as effort or other time-based fields, it should work as expected.
