Choosing the Display Format
TL;DR
Customize dashboard widgets by choosing Auto, List, or Table display modes, switch Table widgets between Hierarchy and Flat List views, and adjust the overall dashboard layout to best organize and visualize your data.

All users except for Collaborators, Contributors and Viewers on all paid accounts can use dashboards.
Dashboards allow users to customize the display format according to their preferences, enabling efficient organization of data within each widget.
To update:
- Choose the widget for which you wish to specify the display mode.
- Find the three-dot menu button 1 located in the widget's title.
- Select the Display mode 2 option from the dropdown menu.
- Upon clicking the display mode option, a menu will appear with choices including Auto, List, and Table 3 .
- Opt for Table mode to present your data in a horizontal format across columns and to see new columns beyond the standard set that you wish to include.
- Determine the desired number of columns visible in your widget.
- If you prefer a concise, vertical layout, switch to List mode as it displays a standardized preselection of fields.
- Click on Auto mode to automatically select the most suitable display mode for your widget.
In Table widgets, you have the option to display tasks in three different formats. These options provide flexibility in how you view and manage your tasks, allowing you to choose the format that best fits your workflow and preferences.
- Click the three-dot button on the table widget 1.
- Click Edit 2.
- Click Subitems from the toolbar in the widget editor 3.
- Select your preferred display option from the drop-down menu 4.

Project and task structure
Displays projects, folders, and tasks in their hierarchical structure, making it easy to understand how work is organized. Expand or collapse items to navigate through different levels of the hierarchy. -
Single list of tasks
Displays all tasks and subitems from the selected location in a single flat list, regardless of their position in the hierarchy. This view helps you scan, sort, and manage tasks without expanding individual projects or folders. -
Project and task flat list
Displays projects, folders, and tasks together in a single flat list instead of a hierarchical structure. This view makes it easier to sort, filter, and review all work items from one place.
With the Dashboard layout selector you can now effortlessly customize your dashboard's layout to suit your preferences with just a few clicks.
In a Vertical layout 1 , widgets are arranged in rows that you can scroll, making it ideal for tasks where data is best presented in a sequential manner. In a Horizontal layout 2 , widgets are structured in columns that can be scrolled from left to right, making it well-suited for easy oversight and Kanban-style boards where a broad view of information across categories or stages is necessary.
