Limited use Viewer licenses are available by default for new customers. For existing customers interested in Viewer licenses, please contact your customer success representative.
Viewers are one of the free license types in Wrike. Once invited to an account they have access to the Wrike workspace where they have rights for viewing and commenting on items shared with them. As a viewer you can access the Reports tool for the tasks, projects, and folders that are shared with you. Viewer license is free & unlimited for all plans.

Note
On Enterprise Standard and Pinnacle accounts it is possible to adjust existing user types as well as create new ones. This means that if you make a new viewer license with a different name, all users with that type of license will be counted in the total number of viewers for the account.
All Regular Users and Admins on all plans have the ability to invite viewers. On Enterprise and Pinnacle accounts, the ability to invite Viewers (and any other user type) may be restricted by admins.
To invite viewers:

Click on the invite 1 button in the sidebar.

Enter the email address 2 of the users you want to invite.

You can also add your message 3 in the message box for your invitee.

Select the user type Viewer 4 from the available list of user types.

Click on the Send 5 invite button.
You can also invite viewers through Users in account management.

Click on the Users 1 under account management.

Click on the Invite new users 2 button from the window that appears.

Enter the email address 3 of the users you want to invite.

You can also add your message 4 in the message box for your invitee.

Select the user type Viewer 5 from the available list of user types.

Click on the Send 6 invite button.
Owners and admins of the Enterprise account have the ability to manage Viewer permissions.
To manage Viewer permissions:

Click on the User types 1 button in the left-hand navigation of account settings page.

Click on the Free license 2 button in the User types window.

You can enable or disable the permissions 3 types.
-
After enabling or disabling the permissions, click on the Save 4 button.

Viewers capabilities
-
Access tasks through the Table view, Board view, Gantt Chart, Files, Chart, Calendar and Stream.

Access Search, Inbox, and More section from the sidebar.

Access Shared with me section and Space overview of the Spaces shared to them.

Comment on tasks, projects, and folders.

Can access the reports shared with them but cannot create reports.
Restrictions of the viewer license
-
Cannot change the status of the tasks, projects, and folders.

Cannot add assignees to tasks, projects, and folders.

Viewers are not able to change dates of tasks, projects, and folders.

Viewers cannot add subitems, or attach files for tasks, projects, and folders that are shared to them.

Viewers are not able to see dependencies of tasks, projects, and folders.

Account owners and admins with the specific right enabled on Enterprise Pinnacle accounts can adjust rights for all the viewers in the account. Learn more about it here.
