Note

When sharing a dashboard, users are limited to the Read Only access role by default. However, you have the option to select one of the following roles to grant access to users:

  • Full – all user rights are available, including deleting and renaming the dashboard.

  • Editor – the user can edit, delete, and rearrange widgets within the shared dashboard.

  • Read Only – the user can view the dashboard but can’t make changes or share the dashboard with other users.

Your dashboard is now shared with the specified users. They’ll receive an Inbox notification that a dashboard has been shared with them.

Public Links

Now you can effortlessly share views of a new dashboard window with individuals outside your team while maintaining control over access and editing permissions. With this enhancement, you can now generate a public link to share a specific view from your workspace.

Key Features

  1. Public Link Generation: Users can share a dashboard's view to anyone by generating a public link.

  2. View-only Access: Individuals with the shared link can only view the designated view without the ability to edit or access item details.

  3. Restricted Editing: Ensures that users with the shared link cannot make changes to the view or its associated items.

  4. Privacy Controls: Sensitive information is protected by limiting access to view-only mode.

Benefits

  1. Streamlined Collaboration: Collaborate easily with stakeholders outside of your team by easily sharing project updates and progress.

  2. Enhanced Transparency: Promote transparency by granting external parties access to relevant information without compromising data integrity.

  3. Improved Communication: Foster better communication and alignment by providing a clear and accessible overview of project status and objectives.

Creating Public Links

To generate public links for a dashboard:

  1. Click on Public Links next to the share button 1 .

  2. A window will appear upon clicking the public link button where you can enable the Dashboard’s public link 2 .

  3. After enabling the dashboard’s public link button, a pop-up window will show up, providing a caution message.

  4. Click the Continue button 3 to create a public link that you can copy 4 and share with the user you want to grant view access to your dashboard.
