Love the Automation - One of the Triggers Updated and the updates on the table view.
On the new table view I am still missing (correct me if I am wrong)
*drag-fill option appears only when just a new value is applied and not when just selected the value that was already applied
Keep up the good work!
Great improvements this week ;-)
I like the easier option to turno on the Lightspeed features!
Bom trabalho, pessoal!
Thank you for the write-up on Lightspeed! Can't wait to send it out to my team.ย
Love that you have tied up so many of the loose ends we have talked about in recent posts. Personally thrilled to have the mass edits back in table view! I had to use both tables because I use the mass edit all the time, but love the new table look.
Perfect!! Now I can us the new table :)
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, folks, I'm sending your feedback to our team now ๐ค
Please keep it coming!ย

Hi Wrike team.ย Was the new Home page removed from LightSpeed?ย We are no longer seeing an option to get to it (including clicking on the company logo).
Also, do you have definitive date/time period for adding the email to task permalink into the Work Item Views (new task view).ย This is a big sticking point with using LightSpeed for many of our users as this is no longer available.
Thanks!
Michael
Hi There,
after turning on lightspeed I miss the project settings for "enable date rollup" and "task based progress" ... Is it now somewhere else ?ย
thanks
andreasย
It would be a big plus to have the ability to add the action to set the due date in 7,10,15 or 30 days when a new task is created.
Hi folks!
Michael Kelley Yes, as we mentioned in this post, with everything available in the sidebar, we've eliminated the need for a Home page, allowing you to jump right back into your work. Plus, we've made it even easier for you by remembering where you left off when you closed the workspace last time. Customisation of the sidebar & view header allows for a cleaner and easier experience. Hope it's helpful!
In relation to the email integration, it's planned to be added soon. We'll keep you posted!
Andreas Hoffmann Project progress and rollups are also planned to be added soon ๐
Marc Jr Colas Thank you for sharing your feedback!ย

I've noticed that "Owner" has been changed to "Assignee" at the project level in Lightspeed.ย Curious to know what the reasoning behind the change of labels. There is potential here for confusion as to who "owns" the project vs who the project has been "assigned to" for managing it. ย Can Wrike either consider using Owner/Assignee or deliver a secondary field for Owner.
I totally agree.ย We use owner and asisgnee diffrerently.ย We need both.
Hi Juan, this WILL lead to confusion.ย That is what is Al was saying above.ย There is a HUGE difference between an Assignee and a project OWNER.ย Can you please take this concern back to the Wrike product management team for review.ย
If Wrike is going to arbitrarily make changes to delivered field names, at least give the customer the option to override them with one that works for our reporting purposes.
Thank you!
Michael
Totally Agree!ย We used them differently.ย The owner is the project owner, multiple assignee complete the various tasks.ย ย
Thanks
Anita
Hello,
We feel the same at our organization. We have project owners that are responsible for the entire project, as well as different task assignees that are responsible for doing some aspect of that project. The project owner has further responsibilities for keeping the individuals assigned to various tasks with the info they need, final reporting, etc. We definitely operate around the differences of these roles.
Thank you,
--Steve
I am setting up Owners as Assignees on the Project level, and keeping Assignees on the task level. I think that might work. I will test it out in my Analytics Boards later, but I believe you can differentiate between Project Assignee and Task Assignee. That should do for us. Hope this helps!
The display density options are not available in new table view. Looking to see the 'full' display in new table view format - am I missing something or is that feature missing?
Hi Matt Smolinski! Welcome to the Community ๐
I've checked with the team - they aren't planning to add a full display mode at the moment, but they are looking at adding text wrapping. Would that be helpful to you?ย

I agree with some of the sentiments about changing things in the UI without thoroughly ASKING the USER BASE if any potential changes would be GOOD or BAD...ย it seems that with many software companies, the development teams just make changes on what they think is best... and there is a huge disconnect between the dev teams and the actual users.
Is this lightspeed thing going to become forced?ย I do not like it at all.ย AT ALL.ย Part of having a dependable "go-to" solution for something is knowing it is stable, dependable, and does not completely shuffle it's interface.ย If it is not broken, don't fix it.ย I don't need a new washing machine every year.ย I don't need a new car every year.ย I don't need a new pet every year... you get the idea.ย There was no need to completely destroy the old interface and shuffle everything around. There is a level of productivity that is lost because you force users to re-learn how to navigate and re-learn the entire interface again.ย I have OTHER projects that I need to focus on, and don't need to be distracted by my work planner undergoing a face-lift that was not necessary.
I noticed that some things which used to require 2 clicks now require 3 and some that required 3 clicks now need only 2.ย So any "improvements" in efficiency are a wash... and some of us (admins of the app) LIKE the HOME PAGE.ย Rather than removing something so useful were you can get a birds-eye view of everything, why not make the massive icons smaller so more fit and no scrolling is necessary???ย
I have real work to do and things to focus on.ย Major changes in the structure and design of the interface should be tested by a very large group of users.ย Does Wrike have a beta user-testing group that is not employed by Wrike?ย As much as I don't have time to mess with something like that, I would make time because you could be massively impacting how I currently do work in the future.
Modern software design teams (not just Wrike) need to start being more considerate about the scope and scale of revisions to an interface and how those can negatively affect current users just as much as attract new ones.ย (And I feel the same way about updates in general to iOS, Windows, Office... etc.ย some are just steps in the wrong direction and forcing users to re-learn an interface better be WORTH it!)
Rather than completely re-designing an interface, work on the massive list of suggested improvements to functions or features using the current interface.ย Make the product better does not necessarily mean shuffling around the interface... you only introduce MORE things that will need to be improved.ย I would welcome an interface change only after ALL backlogged or back-burnered requests are addressed.ย THAT is the time to consider re-doing the interface!
John
I totally agree with John.ย The "change fatigue" these days can be overwhelming and learning a new interface is frustrating. It doesn't help those of us who continue to need to sell the system as a benefit in order to gain user adoption. Not to mention, it slows our productivity.ย It seems like we just went through a UI change a couple years ago.ย We love the home page as it is now, with the canvas tiles... it's easy to see, understand and navigate.ย Losing that is certainly not an improvement, in my opinion.ย ย
I have to agree with the negative impact on productivity. Lightspeed is (ironically) painfully slow. It has changed how I share my screen in meetings, train new users, and get my work done.
The mass edit with the drag handle is a great idea, but it is maddening to work with. I click the cell to select it and it opens the cell. I have to click away from the cell to get it to close and make the handle appear. I can right-click the cell and the handle appears immediately, but as I try to drag it, the right-click menu pops up. How about making a mouse-over cause the handle to appear? Or a single click is "select," and a double click is "open?" I know it isn't that simple, but there must be a solution. I had hundreds of changes to make yesterday and I was glad the office cleared out early so they didn't hear me growling at my computer.
I was spending most of my meetings waiting for Wrike to load so I can show the group something. I now have to open all of the pertinent projects and Wrike info in separate tabs before the meeting so I can just click the tab and not even try to load the page live.
I also have to admit, I miss the home page too.
ย
I agree with John, Nancy, and Kelly. We did just go through a massive UI change a couple years ago. It was a rough transition then just like it is now. Massive and frequent shifts like this are so detrimental to productivity.ย
And I feel the same way about so many backburner requests. There are so many improvements people are asking for, and some that have literally had a topic thread in this forum for years. Keeping up with all the changes and updates is practically a full time job, but so is finding work arounds for all the things users have been asking for that still aren't being addressed.
Just adding to the chorus here that I agree with the change fatigue. We have had a hard enough time getting folks to adopt, and every time there are major UI changes like this, we not only lose productivity, we also lose adoption. I have been using lighting for the last several weeks, and agree that it just doesn't really work well. I think the dashboard is more intuitive to other software UXs, and it had made things easier and faster to navigate through. The only minor annoyance there was not being able to remove some of the Wrike-developed widgets that were meaningless to me.ย
I encourage the team to take some time-out to review the request changes that have been made - and repped, that are still lacking - like different views showing different numbers of active tasks.
I have users who refuse to use spaces.... I have an email folder called "Wrike updates to research" ... change fatigue is real
I concur with the above statements.ย Lightspeed is not ready.ย It should not even be out of Labs to be honest.ย Focus needs to shift away from another overhaul of the UI experience, the exception being to address the major UI Accessibility issues that we reported to you almost 3 years ago.
More effort needs to be placed into improving what your customers have been requesting, including:
We have been informed that some of these concerns are in Wrike's roadmap to be delivered in either 2023 or 2024.ย We remain hopeful that Wrike can deliver on what is badly needed.
Lightspeed needs to be seriously reconsidered by the executives inside Wrike.ย If forced on us as is this Fall, I can not promise we will not end up migrating to another platform - and as a person who knows the pain points involved in making a major move, I am hopeful we can avoid it at all cost.
Please reconsider where you're focusing your development time and listen to the concerns being shared.
Michael Kelley you got it! These are coming sooner than you think, but to make them and much more possible, it is necessary to implement all the changes we're seeing. Lightspeed is almost ready, but still in BETA, so it's natural to have some flaws.
My advice is move your projects and tasks to work itens, use the new table view, custom fields, automation rules, etc.
Tip: Green/Black Belts can get to know first hand about what's coming, just participate in the Zoom calls that happen time to time.

Hello, where is the undo button in new table view? The option to undo/redo is crucial in setting up our project plans.
