🏗 Releases - Template Improvements, New Space Creation Permissions, and Tweaks to User Types (11/01/2021)

Feature Updates
- Work Template Items - Attachments in Stream Open in Proofing
If you click on an attachment in the stream of a work item (such as a task) created from a template, the attachment now opens in proofing 🎨 Previously nothing would happen which was anti-climatic.
- Work Templates - Filtering by Template Available in Board View 🛹
The Template used filter is now available in Board view, so you can filter tasks by their template on the board. Remember 🤓 Work Templates is a Labs feature so it might not be enabled on your account. Account owners and admins can enable it for the entire account.
- Space Creation - New Permissions for Locked Spaces (Enterprise Pinnacle)
Previously: Account admins could choose if space creation should be available only to owners and admins with permission, or regular users too.
Now: Owners and Admins can create all types of spaces by default, account admins can choose if they want to allow regular users to create Private, Public, or Locked spaces.
These changes are available in Account Management settings under Security and are only available for Enterprise Pinnacle users.
It is also possible to restrict space creation by type for admins, but for individuals rather than all admins. This option is in admin permission settings.
- Resources View and Workload Charts- Week Numbers now Shown
Users now see week numbers in Resources view and Workload charts, so if you're counting down to 2022 already 🎆, you're in luck.
- User Types - Some Permissions Removed
We've temporarily removed all permissions related to time tracking from user types settings to make them more in line with users' access to time tracking. This will only affect a menu available to admins on Enterprise accounts, and we do plan to bring these permissions back at some point.
The removed permissions are:
- Create, edit, and delete time entries for other people
- Create, edit, and delete time entries for themselves
- Edit locked time entries
- View all time entries

Is Enterprise (base plan) the same as the Enterprise legacy plan? 😶 (I dont have the allocation tool, and I dont think our plan has it, but I want to check).

Elizabeth Bayer By allocation tool, do you mean effort allocation? If that's what you mean, it's available on Wrike Resource, Wrike for Professional Services, and Wrike for Professional Services Performance legacy plans.

Pamela Martin, Kathleen Sampson Space admins can also create space-level work templates 😊 The feature is currently experimental and the team is very eager for your feedback on it, so I'd suggest creating a separate Product Feedback post for this suggestion 👍
