๐Ÿ’ป Releases - Links in Comments, Fiscal Year Settings in Calendar View, Time Spent Column in New Table View, and More (02/27/2023)

Feature Updates

Now you can add embed links to comments in Wrike. It works the same as in the description field and it is available for the comments section in the classic tasks, folders, and projects as well as the new Work item view. Thanks to everyone on Community who supported and voted for this one!

We brought back the ability to double-click on the item's name in the New Table view to rename it (just like it works in the Classic Table view). The Rename button is still there as well, now you just have another way to do this!

  • Time Spent - Visible in New Table View and Work Item Viewย โฑ๏ธ

The Time Spent field now is visible in the Work Item view (under hidden fields) for both task and project-based items.ย
Also, the Time Spent column can now be added to the New Table view. It works almost the same as it does in the Classic Table (for example, if you have enabled roll up before it will still work for you in the New Table). However, to enable or disable roll up youโ€™ll have to switch to the Classic Table view for now.

  • Calendar View - Fiscal Year View Option Available ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ

In the Calendar view, now you can choose if you want the year to show up as a calendar year or a fiscal year (which can be added from settings by the account owner on Business and higher accounts). This will only affect the year display in the Calendar view.
The same option was available in Calendars before, so, no more confusion for those who are using both Calendar view and the tool.ย

Conditional formatting for calculated custom fields now is visible in the New Table view, New Board view, and Work Item view.
That includes colored indicators for numeric and date-calculated custom fields and a colored progress bar when the calculation result format is percentage.

Finally,ย

I was waiting for the time spent to be available at new table view!

But We have noticed that calculated fields based on Time Spent are not working properly.ย

Can someone check if I am the only one or this is a general problem.

Thank you in advance.

Is there a way to change the fiscal year on calendars? Our fiscal year runs July 1-June 30, but when viewing calendars, there doesn't appear to be a way to overwrite the start and end of a fiscal year compared to a calendar year. I couldn't find a support article answering this question either.

Hey Amber Lyons, apologies for the late reply here. I asked our Support team to contact you and help with this, and I can see this is now resolved ๐Ÿ™‚ Please don't hesitate to reach out to us here if you have any other questions ๐Ÿ™Œ

For anyone with the same question about the fiscal year - you can change the start and end of it in the account management settings (available to account owners and admins) ๐Ÿ‘
