[Status: Not Planned] Duplicate multiple selected tasks and offer a new location
I would like to see a solution that offers the possibility to duplicate multiple selected tasks within in a project in one "go".
Currently I need to do that in our template folder one by one...not really time saving.
It would be great if that feature would work like the "duplicate projects" function and would ask me also for a new location of this task,
Hi Jörn, always great to see your ideas here! Thanks for sharing this one, I think that option sounds useful. Do you see this as something which could potentially be available from the Mass Editing panel?
Hi Anastasia,
I believe it would be more helpful to have that in the context menu per right mopuse click or in the sidebar, see below
YES! This is what I need. It could be available in the mass edit panel and the right click menu as well. If you have multiple tasks selected they will all be duplicated. Voted on this, it would save me so much time!
Also, as an added suggestion, the ability to duplicate subtasks to another task that already exists would helpful instead of just having them duplicate to the parent folder as regular tasks.
We would also really like to see this functionality.
As well as being able to add multiple tasks from within the Request forms.
It would be fantastic to be able to build a project out of specific tasks from the Request Form builder. And have the dropdown questions link to tasks.
Ie - Pick a task to add to this project
The dropdown would have a list to pick from, and each would be linked to a specific task in wrike.
Agreed the feature is needed, and it should be available, at least, from the Mass Edit panel.
Yes, can we please, please, please have the ability to duplicate multiple tasks at one time? I often have to duplicate 10+ tasks at a time, and to do it individually is incredibly slow and tedious.
We also really need the ability to select the new task status when duplicating.
THANKS SO MUCH!!!
This feature would be very helpful!
This seems incredibly basic. Really can't quite get why this functionality was not included out of the box.
Can this PLEASE be addressed
Hi all,
I have a workaround for this since it seems they aren't going to add this obviously necessary and SUPER BASIC feature.
Create Project "TASKS TEMPLATE" - add your desired tasks.
Duplicate Project "TASKS TEMPLATE" and rename it "TASKS TEMPLATE 2"
Select all Tasks in TASKS TEMPLATE 2
A menu should come up on the right (or it may require a right-click after multiple task selection). Anyhow, see screenshot for this one.
Choose MOVE TO and then choose the Project you want these tasks moved to.
Delete TASKS TEMPLATE 2 (and keep original TASKS TEMPLATE for future use)
Kelly - this is a super helpful tip! Hopefully we will hear something from the developers soon on this feature.
I think adding (duplicate to) in mass editing to copy or duplicate multiple task from a project to another would be great.
Welcome to the Community Masa - 🤗 Thank you for supporting this idea here!
I don't have an update from the Product team right now, but we'll keep you posted if anything changes!

Any update on this time-saving feature request from 2017?
thanks..
Hi Julien Thiery, thank you for posting. Unfortunately, this suggestion is not planned in the short-term roadmap of the Product team, similar to this Product Feedback request here.
At the moment, the workaround to this is to use the mass edit option and move the tasks to the other location as described above. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mass moving is not what's needed here and isn't a workaround for needing to *duplicate* more than one task at a time. Hoping this can be prioritized as it would be a huge time saver!
Thanks for bumping this thread Amy Augustyniak! I've asked our team for an update and I'll let you know if there's one.

This very basic functionality. Looks like this is open from 2017 :(
Hello Vara Vegunta, welcome to the Community. Thank you for chiming in, I'm afraid that at the moment we don't have updates to share about this suggestion. I can see this idea has been active for a long time, however, unfortunately not all suggestions can be prioritized.
Please, rest assured that we're passing all your feedback on to our Product Development Team and that we will keep you updated if there are any changes 👍
Also, I'd like to mention that you can check our New to Community forum to discover all the resources you can find in our Community 🙂
