What is AI Subtask Creation?
This is a new experimental feature based on natural language processing that allows you to easily create subtasks from your task’s description.
With AI Subtask Creation, you can quickly convert your meeting notes, documents, tables, or checklists into subtasks of your current task. Simply highlight the relevant text in the task description to see two new buttons:
1) The first button enables simple subtask creation from each line of text. It can be useful for structured text, like checklists, meeting notes, etc. After creating subtasks, the corresponding text in the description will be updated with permalinks to the subtasks created.
2) The second new button is for AI subtask creation. It uses machine learning algorithms to analyze the highlighted text and finds only actionable items. It works with unstructured text in the English language and identifies sentences that look like tasks, based on certain criteria. You can use it for emails, messages, documents, or slides. You can highlight a full task description or choose only a certain part of the text to help the algorithm. Please note that some more complicated sentences may not be recognized.
The team plans to improve this functionality and introduce more smart features that will help you easily create and complete tasks.
