Removing signatures from email

Wrike Community,

My team and I are new to Wrike and noticed that when utilizing the Microsoft Outlook add-in, we cannot remove the images that are attached to the signature. We would like to have the ability to remove the images (as attachments) when utilizing the Microsoft Outlook add-in. Does anyone else have this issue? I don't want to go through each of the files to remove the social media images after every email gets attached.

Thanks all!

Brandon Dunham

I agree Brandon! Such a hassle and makes the program look sloppy! :(

i'm with brandon too! if its a long thread i'll forward the email to myself and when it's in draft mode i'll delete everyone elses signature images, send it and upload it through the add-in... if its meeting minutes that im sending out to the team, i'll turn off my signature and cc myself then upload it through the add-in. and if i forget i'll just manually delete my signature from the wrike panel though outlook, or go in wrike and delete the images.

either method - its a hassle

Yes, this email signature/attachment issue has been a huge problem for awhile. we're constantly having to delete the images and then the comments section is flooded with phantom thumbnails of all the deleted images so it's harder to scroll to what you really need to see in the comments.

Automation could be of help here with a rule that says if a task has images attached either with certain name patterns (usually image01 etc) or up to a certain filesize to automatically delete them.

I agree, the addition of icons in the signature block being added as attachments is quite a hassle.

A current workaround is replying to the email you're wishing to forward to the task/project. On the item view, select "Update by email", then copy the task address and pasting to the "To" recipient in your email. Prior to replying/forwarding the individual task in email, select "rich text" instead of HTLM. You also have to remove the email subject header (from, sent, to, cc, subject) from the email you're wishing to add as a comment prior to forwarding as AI will determine the email subject header as a separate comment and will not upload essentially. This is not utilizing the add-in and does require several additional clicks along with manually copying/pasting the task URL to the email recipient line, but for the short term is better than no workaround at all.
