[Status: Launched ๐] Custom Views: Push view to child projects and folders
Custom Views are a good start, but the are only available on the project or folder view where you first build it. If you go down one level they disappear.
Really we need an option to push a view we are happy with to all the child folders and projects.

The only way to get this now is to be very meticulous about building blueprint and then ensuring that all of the projects are created from that blueprint or duplicated from a project with the views.
Another example where Wrike does do what we want but it is very fiddly and fragile. Touch your nose, stand on one leg and spin counter clockwise and it works perfectly :)
Stretch goal: Allow administrators to add custom views as universal options to the Add view to this project menu.
Any updates on this one - we are in desperate need of this and looks to have well over a 100 votes now?
Rhonwyn Williams Not at the moment, the research here continues and we don't expect more updates on this topic this year. At the same time, we understand your feedback, please rest assured it's passed on to the respective Product team at Wrike.ย

Adding my support for this feature.
It really doesn't make sense that if I want to create some custom views for my team that I would have to recreate them on every single project.
Ideally if you create a custom view at a space level, then every project in that space should be able to leverage that view.
Really hope Wrike implement this feature sooner rather than later.ย
Hi Tommy Loughran, thank you for supporting this idea. Our Product Team is currently investigating this feature and we will keep you updated in case there are any changes ๐
Please, let us know if there is anything else we could help you with.
Upvoted. Needing this too!
Would be great to know the status of this request - we really need this for our team.
Hi Alicia Freeman, welcome to the Community! Thank you for your comment, the Product Team is investigating this option and we will share more updates with you as soon as we are informed of the team going forward with this idea. Thank you for your patience!ย
I'd like to mention thatย you can visit our New to Community forum to get the most out of your experience with our Community ๐
Thank you!
Hi Wrikers, To create uniformity within project work, we would like to create a default view that is valid/available to everyone who is allowed in the space. This makes it easier for new members to use and helps with onboarding. People get lost and drop out because of the many personal settings and features.
ย Something that was the reason for us not to choose MS-Project-Prof. ย ย
Hi Cees Bakker, thank you very much for sharing your use case with us, please rest assured that your feedback has been noted and that we will keep you updated in case there are any changes implemented ๐
We're in year 4 of this thread which has been upvoted more than 160 times!ย There are at least two other threads in the community asking for the same things so the total upvotes is actually more than that.ย ย
https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360051306013-Save-default-layout-for-Table-view
https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360052427813-Custom-Views
To the development team: Wrike already has the capability to save and recall a table view configuration (columns, columns order, filters, etc).ย Your task is then to allow the view config to be saved at the user level and then have the view config applied/recalled by that user to any table context.ย So, if I move to another space, folder, project, I should be able to select the view I want and apply it to my current location (context) in the project hierarchy.ย So, unless Wrike's architecture is fundamentally flawed or poorly designed, this should not be a monumental task. ย I certainly have to believe your product team could have accomplished this in 4 years.ย I bet nearly every upvote on this thread would prefer to resolve this daily hassle than get more generative AI bells and whistles with limited utility added to the platform.ย ย
To the community team: Can you please give us concrete answers.ย Is this feature change in the development backlog?ย Has it been rejected?ย What else would you need to see to put it in the backlog?
To second Brandon Larocque, here's my request with another 50 votes: Copy custom views to different folders โ Wrike Help Center
Agreed, Brandon Larocque. I would love to lock in views for a space, I need the ability to dumb the software down for my team actually to use it...
Hello Brandon Larocque, thank you for your thorough comment, I certainly understand your point and please rest assured that the whole team is aware of how this feature would be beneficial for users.
The Product Team is still exploring the options to implement this idea, however, we are not able to provide you with an ETA at the moment. Additionally, the team has confirmed that they are currently working on developing other alternatives that could be useful in most of the cases described in this thread.ย
As we understand the value of this idea and the interest you all have in it, we will be sure to inform you as soon as we receive any additional confirmation. Once again, thank you for your patience and understanding.
Florian Kislich Andre Herrero thank you for your comments and please let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with.
I just started using WRIKE and it really did not occur to me this did not exist during Demo's we asked about harmonizing views...and they said yes that is done natively, the way i interpreted this was you create your table view at Space level and all underlying ones get it , they CAN modify but the default is the parent one from day 1...
Guess I was mistaken?ย
What is the timeline of this I mean I am slated to have a LOT of folders/views sooner than later and the sheer management of this may be a showstopper
Regards
Glenn
This feature is absolutely necessary. This much is clear from the large number of support on this thread and others like it.ย
The desynchronization that can occur between (sub-)folders in one space is an enormous headache, especially when handling a large number of users on your Wrike Platform.ย ย
Even if we could just copy custom views and paste them in sub-folders of the same space it would save a lot of time and improve the user-friendliness of Wrike.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi Glenn van Kooijk, welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply, we were consulting with the Product Team about this suggestion. The team is interested in developing this feature, however, I'm afraid that at the moment we're not able to provide any ETA. Please, rest assured that we will keep you updated if there are any improvements ๐
Thank you for adding your feedback, Anthony O'Donnell, I've passed it on to our relevant team.
Willie Freeman Elizabeth MacManus Tony Edmeades, Sierra Guterba, Ashley Fischer, John Mitchell, Owen Greenwell, @..., Lisa, Florian Kislich, Andre Herrero, Alicia Freeman, Patrick Gilbert Anthony O'Donnell, Cees Bakker.ย Yep, it's me again.ย Just keeping Wrike accountable for serving us clients.ย For those of you who are most active in the community with orange, green and black belts, you can help be more vocal and get Wrike to implement what we need.
Another 2 months have gone by since the last update that the project team is "exploring the options".ย I ran software development teams for a decade, and I can tell you that if a feature is being considered for the backlog, it doesn't take 8 weeks to decide whether it makes the cut.ย This community isn't asking what the solution details are, but we want a real update on whether Wrike is going to address the request or if you've rejected it from the product backlog.ย The feature request has well over 200 upvotes, exceeding the 60 you reported is required to get the feature in front of the dev team (for reference, Wrike reported the most requested feature of all time had just 600 votes).

Hey folks.ย Please share and upvote our request/thread.ย Wrike isn't combining votes from multiple threads on this same topic and hasn't taken action for the 4 years this request has been on the table, so instead of getting this basic view functionality we're getting this:
Hey Brandon,
I totally agree with you. It seems that Wrikes roadmap is paying more attention to fancy populist features like AI - something we don't use within our companyย - than working on more efficient project management tools as requested in this post. ย ย
Sad but true, also in other cases.
btw. there's just one more vote needed for my similar request to get a status too:
https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/18042176701079-Copy-custom-views-to-different-folders
Thanks Florian, Iโve upvoted that one now too.
Cees Bakker, it's not even useful AI.ย First, listen to the customers and give us the day to day needs we have.ย But even if you're going to pursue AI in parallel, at least do useful things:ย suggest changes to resourcing to resolve workload chart overloads, automatically create finish to start dependencies for a project outlined in table view (as a Gantt starting point), build a report that answers a question posed to the AI like "which projects in the system are taking up most of John's time, etc., etc., etc., etc.ย
It's like the product team isn't even paying attention.
Hi everyone! I've shared an update in a similar thread today and reposting it here as well - our team is now researching this idea, and we'll keep you posted on how it goes (we're expecting more updates in Q3).ย

ANy update for this feature. Would be very helpful to copy past a view.ย
Hi Annael TORRES, thank you for your chiming in. As mentioned by Lisa, our Team is researching this idea and we're expecting updates for this quarter. We will keep you informed as soon as we have news to share ๐
Here is another request for a way to apply views to folders or projects.ย Please add it to the list.

In case anyone else is using this new functionality and interested in this related request, please give it an upvote hereย
Summary: When copying a viewย with the exact same nameย as an existing view, offer an option (checkbox) to replace the existing view with the new version. I envision this functioning similarly to saving a file of the same name to your computer, e.g. "a file with this name already exists -- overwrite or save a copy?" Place the overwritten view in the same spot in the view hierarchy.
