[From Wrike] The New Wrike Experience - Update 💥

YES! I admit that I've only skimmed here, but this looks like such a great update already. Looking forward to test driving this one and providing more coherent feedback, but wanted to pop in first and just say thank you so much for hearing us. This looks awesome, very excited. Great note to end a week on 🙌

I am glad to see the revisions released. I will try out the updates and see how close we are getting to a more efficient workflow. Looking forward to hearing others' feedback and providing my own to the latest updates.

The new Launchpad Icon!  💋 Perfect! One less click to go where I want to go!

I love it!!! My one big 'issue' with the previous version was getting quickly between spaces, or even tagging a task with a folder from another Space and having to remember the exact folder name. ALL BETTER!!!

I love the new icons next to folders/projects that show whether they are a folder or a project, and they are now colored! I use color coding a lot in Wrike, this is a big Plus!!

I've not tried the custom views yet, will do that soon. 

One tiny 'issue' I have now, is that when you are in a Space, and you have selected a folder or project, or even a task, you can't tell what the name of the Space is.  It's not at the top anymore. 😟

I just want to say that I love how Wrike listens 👂👂👂 to our feedback and continues to make adjustments to the User Interface! Bravo!!!  👍😀😍

Couple of tiny things from an afternoon of powering through:

Bugs

• For themes, if there’s an image overlap (like the bats for Halloween or Flowers) the image doesn’t show in the workspace view
• The spaces on the home screen are still coming up in an order other than alphabetical by default and then we need to move them around after updates. Can the default be alphabetical?
• Looks like the ability to filter out completed or canceled projects on the left-hand nav bar has defaulted to showing all projects regardless of status. Can that option be added back in?

Amazing

• Having the folders come up on the right-hand side of the ’Show Spaces’ feature rather than having them dropdown is the clarity and cleanliness I never knew I needed.
• Copy permalink from the left-hand nav bar! I feel like this is new and it is great.
• Blueprints as a quick link at the top is a great, great add

Changes

• For the main screen of the spaces, I think Home makes sense, but having a Home and My Home space with similar icons is a little confusing. I could see new users getting tripped up by that. ‘To view the space, select the ‘Home’ icon’ and then they click on the ‘My Home’ icon instead. Perhaps another name like ‘Space Home’ or ‘Space Base’ or ‘Space Overview’ or something much better than that.
• Can we have the ‘Show Spaces’ button in the Inbox view, too? Even if it’s just the icon on a slimmed-down, padded lefthand column.
• In a sub-task through the Inbox view, if you click on the name of the task above the sub-task (the small greyed out text that hyperlinks to the task above the header-styled text of the sub-task name) it shows the task as a pop-up screen rather than redirecting you to the project in the workspace view. Any chance it can do the latter like clicking on the folder tag below the sub-task name does?
• Can we link existing dashboards and reports as a tool for spaces? I know you can duplicate and it’ll auto-prompt, but would appreciate the ability without duplicating/re-sharing/deleting.

Will share more as I continue using, but to reiterate what others have said above that this is great. Thank you so much, looking forward to this!

Marvelous! Thank you! It is a great step forward! I can really support what is already said above.

I love in particular:

- Wider possible space for navigation bar

- Steadily visible icons to show different types of elements

- "Show spaces" / "Hide Spaces"

Room for further improvement:

- The hide navigation ("<") should stay visible like the show navigation (">") does

- Can we please set the color of the a folder/Project via API? This would open up a huge usage opportunity for the colors.

- What we still miss is the opportunity to have an own color scheme and particularly make this the default for all users (especially newly created users). We'd like to roll out our business application with "our" default color for it. Which should be a warmer one than the majority of the regular ones. (Light Yellow).

Love the updates and continued support for when the community comes together and raises a question or a point... this is awesome!!!

One thing I wished we had was a way to 'pin' specific things to the top outside of the home page. I love the home button and inbox but to get to my reports I need to go to home, hit reports and go from there and do it all over again to get to Stream and/or dashboards? I am our team's Account Manager so I live more on the outskirts of projects. Is there any thought to incorporating a 'favorites' bar? Let us have a few things at the top that we are constantly bouncing in and out of? 

I have other suggestions too but I will put those in their respective spots ;) 

Keep up the great work, Wrike has been a lifesaver over the years.... even during furlough it went to show the team that they can carry on if I am not there.

You can no longer filter out completed or canceled projects on the left-hand navigation bar.

That was somewhat essential. Can that option be added back in or is there a workaround other than setting up a dashboard for the project folder?

Loving the new experience, it reduces the time to get to a specific task by a large margin, i also like to clean look and the home page is my new favorite

Shameless feature requests:

Just a quick feature request, I currently use the Chrome extension for this, but since you now have the home page, you might as well add it there. A quick low level 'To Do Today list' configure a folder where these tasks reside and be able to quickly add or remove them just like the chrome extension does.

Another one, with the 'play' button to record time, can you give a reminder pop up or such if you are past a thresshold of time? in example, if you surpass 8hrs in active time recording, a pop-up 'hey are you still working on this?' 

Bugs / or not yet migrated feature from the old experience:

Other than that, since the real 'archiving' solution isn't implemented yet, please please bring back the 'Canceled' and 'Completed' projects filter in the tree menu.

Finally

I love the new custom views but when trying to fiddle with them, I found a feature gap, you have added billable / non-billable on project level, sadly there is no way to filter on this in the table view (you can now filter on project state but no on billing type

I did not discover that! It only appears when you hover over the spaces header. Any chance it can be omnipresent?

I did have a new request for this if we're still discussing features: in the launchpad, could we have access to our pinned projects and folders? Perhaps in the bottom of the launchpad?

Regarding a To-Do list on the Home page, the team is thinking about evolving this page as a central point to manage all your personal work. Thank you for your idea! Your suggestion about the reminder for the time tracker sounds really interesting, as well as your comment about filtering by billing type. We'll pass it to the team who are developing that part. We are happy to confirm that the filters "All/Only active" are now available in the folder tree. Thank you so much!

Hilary Koss, thank you for your detailed replies! Could you please clarify your idea about the launchpad? The difference is that your pinned projects and folders belong to you as a user, while items on the launchpad are configured per Space (every Space may have a launchpad). So, when you open a launchpad in a particular Space, do you expect to see all your pinned items there, including items from other Spaces? Thank you!

We are working on onboarding our team to the New Experience since it is inevitable. One big drawback for us is not being able to drag and drop projects from space to space. Sometimes we reassign a project to a different manager and when we close a project, anyone could drag and drop it to the closed space for that person to take care of. It is way more clunky now, with having to go into a project and change folders at the top. We love Wrike and it has helped improve our project and team management tremendously, but this took away one of our favorite functionalities. Thanks!

After using for a while the New experience here is somethings that I beleive could improve it:

It would be great if a "My To do" windows was also present in the "Home" section. That way "Home" would be more complete, and would have all the info at a glance that the users need to have.

By the way, have you tried the AI Recommended tasks? This widget helps you make sure you’re working on the tasks that require the most attention first. It adds a widget to the top of your Home page displaying up to 8 active recommended tasks which are assigned to you.

Also, it's possible to create dashboard widgets to keep track assigned to you:

Can we add the "!" importance to the Tasks in the New Wrike Experience? 

It would be helpful if we had a way to sort the tasks listed where AI suggests what tasks you should focus on.  (Priority, Due Date)

I really like the new layout and am finding it very helpful.  

Megan O'Malley  If I understand your comment correctly, the Importance still exists. If you hover your mouse to the left of the title of a task when looking at the task details, the icons should show up for clicking on with a tool tip Change Importance.

I agree with you that the AI Recommended Tasks should be sortable.

Is there a way to keep the left side navigation pinned? If not, you should think about adding that back.  it's very tedious to have to click the 3 line bar thing over and over to get to the different spaces.
