The new list feature is not as good as MY WORK (as said we have users who work exclusively with the MY WORK Tab), please stop this!

I need to at least see the project/folder name that the tasks are related to as I have a lot of tasks that all have the same name. (Every Project has the same 10 base tasks to start with)

Then I need a way to sort the things that are actually moving to the top, like i could in My Work with the moving them to the different categories. My tasks do not have dates as they are worked on/completed when I get to them or when I get the info from the client.

This new view does not serve my needs for managing my work or the needs of my coworkers.

Coworker just pointed out, best way around this and to get the features you liked from "My Work" is make a custom dashboard. Looks and functions pretty much the same way (has project names with the task, subheads this week, next week, etc) plus you can tweak it to how you like.

    Hello Sam,

i tried your workaround but it won't be the same how My Work works/shows. All tasks are shown multiple times in each widget (next 7 days, next 30 days and so on). Thats pretty confusing or is my configuration wrong?

    best,

    Alex

    Hey Alex,

I'm not exactly sure how you set it up but you can delete extra widgets by selecting "..." top right, add new ones, change the time range of custom widgets, pretty much set it up how you want. I'm just starting to play with the dashboard now so I don't know that much but the "To do Today/this Week" widget shows me some of the features I like from the My Work UI. If you go to the "..." in the top right of custom widgets you can change what it displays and have it only show what you want. Hope this helps!

    Hi everyone!

First of all, thanks a lot for reaching out and sharing your feedback here!

I'm passing all your feedback to our Product team and it will all be reviewed.

    As for your questions -

    • Date sections (today, this week etc) are there if you sort by date
    • Drag and drop is enabled when you sort by priority
    • Folder tags are available in the dot menu and are enabled when you click “Show folder names”

I'll get back to you here when I have updates from the Product team.

    Hi Lisa,

Yes, we understand that this is available, but the thing about "My Work" is that you were able to use both features at the same time.

Now, you can drag and drop if you sort by priority OR have the date sections (today, this week etc) if you sort by date

This changes everything and will make it almost impossible, at least for me, to visualize today's tasks and re-order them.

Also, in the "My Work" view, you could automatically move a task so that it will appear in your dashboard Tomorrow or next week, without really assigning a specific date, something that totally happens in real life when you know you should do something some time from now, and you want it to stop showing in your today's tasks, but you don't know yet when you will be really doing it.

Please leave "My Work". I recommended Wrike to so many people just because I found in "My Work" what I needed to keep organized, and it was so difficult to find!

I think you are not understanding the drag and drop request.  Yes, I can drag it from today to tomorrow, but I cannot take the 10 items for today and put them in the order I'm going to complete them today.

What the new view doesn't have that my work does is the ability to arrange your day.  If I have 10 items due today, from three different projects.  In my work, I would drag them so that I can do the items from project A all at the same time, together in the today field.  In the new view, I cannot adjust the tasks position on the "today" tab.  This is a major downside for me.  Makes organizing my day in this platform a lot less functional.

My day isn't just a random assortment of items that are due today.   I need to be able to lay them out in the order that they are going to be completed.

Thanks for listening.  I would request that "My Work" remain until this is addressed.  If it went away right now, I wouldn't have a way to achieve what is described here on the Wrike platform.

This is a terrible change. "My Work" is the main screen my employees use when they interact with Wrike. It's also the main screen I use in meetings to add tasks to my own list, which I later delegate. This easy-to-use todo list is the reason we were successful in switching our team to Wrike for task management in the first place. I proudly show it to people who are skeptical about Wrike, noting that task management on my team is successful because people use it for their primary list of action items. I am surprised that you don't have analytics on which screens people spend the most time on. Please reconsider this change and do more research before disrupting a critical component of your application. If this feature is removed, we might have to find a different task management tool.

I tried dragging and dropping from Today to Next Week in Date View, and it won't do it unless I make it a subtask. In "My Work," I could drag and drop regardless of the actual start and due date. This is helpful as I may be starting a project today, as in I have it on my radar today, but I may not be WORKING on it today but rather next week. Especially as a manager the "on my radar" piece is important to me.

    1. Note that there is many comments about this issue and nearly all of them are against removing "My Work" view. It means something...
    2. You seem really not understand that drag and drop tasks works in a very, very different way in new "smart" lists. Jacqueline and Casey explained perfectly.
    3. The big advantage of "My Work" view is that it lets you to easily unlink you real work from dates and attributes managed by a Project Manager. It means that you can put in "My Work" some tasks not attributed to you, but critical to your word, to hide not relevant task (are attributed to you, but you don't need to worry about them), to put in front of the line some tasks programed for next week that you want to finish today by some reason, and so on…

I don't think whoever envisioned this change really understands that a to-do list is fundamentally different from a list of tasks. I would be shocked if they actually looked at analytics that showed which screens of the system were used the most, because this screen is critical to task workflow. It's the screen where work actually gets done. The screen that I want my employees to look at, which has all their current priorities on it. The only screen that's NOT a giant list of everything. It's the reason I bought Wrike in the first place.

Do whatever you want to the rest of the interface but PLEASE keep the MY WORK tab. 99% of my time in wrike is in the MY WORK tab, the other 5%, INBOX.

Imagine. . . Imagine if instead of taking My Work away. . .they made it even better?!

    • A Forced Sort by Date option for when you simply just need to reset the list so you can then drag and drop to set the priority.
    • A forced sort by date option to flag tasks that have previously been dragged and dropped as a sort by date task again.
    • The ability to nest tasks in a heirachy so not all tasks for one project need to be visible at one time if you don't wish them to be.

I'm sure everybody else here has some suggestions as to how to make something already really good that much better. :) Instead of taking it away and replacing it with something with less functionality.

I think I get what's happened here. . .the looseness of My Work, the freedom of it - it doesn't play by any rules. . .it really is a strange little bit of coding. Sorts by date to start with, but then doesn't after a task is dragged and dropped. It's great but can also become unruly if you aren't very conscientious in it's management. It isn't perfect, but no system is and this is the closest Wrike got to user friendly. No Smart folder or list is going to come close to ever approaching it. . .as they require perfect management of tasks and also, to change things within the task to get them to sort how you want in certain situations.

I vote let's get My Work working even better and you guys can chalk My To Do up to a failed smart folder experiment. :)

This is a deal-breaker for us. If we can't see what task each to-do is associated with, it's completely useless.

We're an architecture firm with 25+ active projects in Wrike at any given time. A third of them might have notes like "Confirm zoning setback" or "Send fixture selections to contractor".

We use "My Work" constantly, and are already a little annoyed at the fact that you can't group tasks by project...but at least the associated project does show.

I echo the other comments about liking the This Week, Next Week, and Later lists for allowing a quick glance ahead. I see that sorting by Date in My to-do creates a facsimile of this, but it's ordered terribly..."Today" should be at the top.

The ONLY thing I like about My to-do is the less-distracting icons for who is assigned to the task. Otherwise, please do NOT let this change happen.

Also, I would like to just say that I visited your website, and like your projects, and just want to say that its soo inspiring to see you practice and build great architecture while having difficulties with walking. it must be a huge burden. truly an inspiration!

Actually, 'My work' is the main feature of Wrike i need for my work. I don't like changes in my workspace, i need to adjust to. But these changes seem like a good replacement, that can be configured to my needs.

Looking forward to this and hope that i won't get annoyed too much.

Would the "My to-do" replace the "My Work" option that is at the top row? It would be great if that is the case so we do not have to use the left hand columns (which I normally keep closed) to get to "My to-do."

Please, please Do not get rid of "My Work" it is the only view me and most of my coworkers use. the New "my-to-do" seems clunky and complicated and takes away all the features that we use. Sorting by date and then being able to arrange by priority of the day or week IS KEY. some projects take more time or need finished faster and I am able to prioritize at the beginning of each day. Also in the "my-to-do" view when you can drag and drop to organize, you can accidentally move a task under another, which is VERY problematic. I agree with Christian F ... add those features to "My Work" and call it a day.

    Good morning!

Everyone other than myself uses the My Work tab exclusively. Will there still be the same tab on the phone app?

I think I can train them on the new space in the computer, but if the app changes we are going to have some issues.

Thanks for always looking for new ways to keep us productive!

I have mixed feelings about "my work" going away. On one hand I never use it because it's useless for managing my subordinate's work. On the other hand I know that a lot of assignees (not managers, but actual reaponsible doers) use it a lot. It is simple for them. They don't need to learn any of wrike's intricate instruments. Just a list of things to be done you can access with one click and easily manage in a way that doesn't rattle work for others( we have a lot of processes demanding dependencies in templates, so changing actual due and start dates would shift a lot of stuff for others, sometimes without anyone noticing NO messaging about date changes caused by dependencies.) On ther hand I know it is outdated, lacks filters and misleads users who forget they shifted Smith. For later without actually informing others. This can cause overdue tasks which we have to manage extensively. New my todo is not accesable with one click, only has two filters. Which is really little compared to what we have available in list view atm.

I actually found My Work pretty useful for being able to drag and drop tasks based on priority (i.e. Today, This Week, Next Week). Is there an alternative UX that would achieve the same functionality?
