[Status: Backburner ⏳] Outlook Calendar Integration
Is there a way to sync your outlook calendar with a task? eg. A discovery meeting for a client is set up in outlook, but I would also like it to link to a task for the day. This way notes and attachments can be added in Wrike, but the client will only see it in outlook.
I would also like an Outlook calendar integration!!
We would like to get the Outlook Calendar integration ASAP
Hey guys, please check out our Wrike for Outlook integration 🙂 Drop me a line here if you have any questions 🙌

Hey Lisa,
I checked into the outlook integration, and it doesn't mention anything about calendars.
How does wrike integrate with specifically the calendar portion of outlook?
Thanks
there are 3rd party apps that will sync Google calendars with Outlook. So you might want to consider using the Wrike Google calendar integration and then sync Google with Outlook. Here are a few options:

another option:

@Tony @Paul @Husain Hey, sorry, I misunderstood you - Wrike for Outlook helps interact with Wrike from your inbox: turn an email into a Wrike task, edit existing Wrike tasks, send and receive comments. Currently Wrike doesn't provide a native integration with Outlook Calendars.
That said, you can still use Zapier to integrate Wrike with an Outlook Calendar in case you have an Office365 account. Also, you can try using Workato to set up the integration. There's also an option to use API. For this, please check out our Developers portal.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions 🙌

Thanks for the replies! I will check out a few of these options, and let you know which one seemed to work best.
Also agree. Most of our teams are saying they need to integrate their Tasks directly to their Outlook calendar as well. Hoping this makes the roadmap soon as it should be a quick fix.
Having deadlines and due dates sync with our Outlook calendars would be very helpful. Calendar visualization is the easiest way for a lot of users to see timelines and balance their work schedules.
I need to have outlook calendar intergration
Thank you @Lisa Bogdanova
will try that options ,but it will be much better if we can have something out of the box from Wrike with outlook calendar Sync
+1
@All, I've moved this to the Product Feedback topic, rather than API as it's evolved that way now.
@Paul Roston - did you get a chance to test the options you've linked. I don't use Outlook, but I'm interested to hear your feedback 👍
I have tried a few but the more I think about it the more I feel that it needs to be more of a native function. Deciding what tasks should or should not be shared loaded into outlook and visa-versa has to be straight forward and intuitive. So far I don’t see any of the options being a very usable solution.
Any update on this feature request? Would love to see the task auto sync to Exchange calendar, and then update if the date for the task is changed or modified in Wrike.
Just to help the Wrike guys out. I'm happy to make intros to teams or groups in Microsoft to help get this done. (Microsoft Employee disclaimer)
A Couple easy options for this are integration with Planner through Microsoft Graph API ->
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/planner-concept-overview
This would be the best long term solution (IMO) since you're already tied into Microsoft Graph & O365 Authentication
OR
another option is to make a Wrike plugin for Microsoft Flow https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/
Tons of cool things could be done with this connection.
Integrating to Outlook Calendar is paramount for Wrike to be a superior product in the industry and not a Meh product. Sooner or later, we will have to make the change to MS Planner if we cannot see the outlook integration addressed here. Wrike is a very nice and robust product that is missing here. I don't want to invest time for a work around. This is your product and these requests have been in demand for some time.
I agree that there needs to be an integration directly with Outlook calendar. I've been saying this for many months. But what I've found to be very useful in the mean time is to create a Google Calendar, sync Wrike with your Google Calendar, and sync Outlook with Google Calendar. All of these are very easy to do and you don't require ANY 3rd party software. An important point is that the overall integration will only be as good as the current Google/Wrike integration, which is one direction only. You can't add things to the Wrike calendar from your Outlook Calendar.
For people who live in their Outlook email and calendar, Wrike could easily fill in the gap that exists in the Microsoft suite regarding shared project and task management. The Microsoft product line has at least half a dozen solutions to individual task and project management, but none of them shared, affordable, and easily integrated with the Outlook calendar. Wrike already has a good plugin for Outlook email. Outlook is still used by millions of users, and leaving this integration out of the Wrike product seems a significant missed opportunity. It will be the deciding factor for our ongoing use of Wrike.
The calendar is the basis by which our users live their lives these days, and fully integrating their project and task schedules is key to managing workload and other responsibilities.
Checking to see if this is on the roadmap. In our particular use case of Wrike, we are using this for service delivery project tracking. As we assign a project or for task to a user and set a date, it would be super helpful if Wrike could create a calendar invite for the user that was assigned a task. Otherwise, we are setting a date for a task in Wrike, and then having to switch to Outlook and create a calendar invite. This is super inefficient and should be addressed very soon. They already have Google integration, but are missing the much larger group of Exchange/O365 user base.
They do have an integration tool but you must subscribe to Wrike Integrate to use it. That's $20/month per user. Pretty expensive. I looked at the google calendar sync option, and the google calendar is now part of the Wrike Integrate program, so that doesn't seem to be an option either. Zapier is a pay per user account from what I see, so that option is once again an additional expense. The Microsoft flow api seems like a bit of effort to resolve the problem, and non-tech people aren't going to invest the time or money into that. I really haven't found any options that are viable solutions without spending hundreds of dollars per user per year. That's frustrating.
Would highly appreciate if Wrike would offer a solution to transfer the name, the assignee, status, start- and enddate of a task in my outlook calendar. This would make the live much easier for me and my colleagues, which are already using Wrike for Projectmanagment!
Wrike does offer calendar integration with Google Calendar. I believe this is free and just needs to be turned on.

If you don't have a Google Calendar it's simple to make one. Then you can create tasks in your Google calendar using the Wrike calendar interface. Then you can sync your Google Calendar with Outlook and you can see any event that is put into the Google Calendar in Outlook.

This is not the most elegant or complete solution but it will but tasks into Outlook.
I´m not sure if it will work for our enterprise account because we are very limited by using "middleware" for dataintegrations. I´ll check your proposal an come back with information thanks. Thanks for your feedback Paul!
Hey guys, thanks for your feedback here.
I'd also suggest checking out Wrike Integrate for this.
Please let me know if you have any questions 🙂

Unfortunately adding $1499 per month to use Wrike with Outlook isn't a viable option. That's why we're using Smartsheet now. The calendar integration is free.
This seems like a feature a lot of customers want (myself included). There are several long-running threads - some a couple of years old - about this very issue and yet... nothing definitive from the Wrike support team in terms of a firm commitment to implement it, just some awkward / expensive workarounds.
We're currently evaluating Wrike as a potential collaboration platform for our team and this doesn't exactly sell the product. And there are a lot of other products.
This would be a valuable feature for our team. How is Outlook calendar not a basic integration? So many other project management software have the Outlook calendar integration without an extra cost.
Any update on this? It would be so good to have the Wrike Calendar talk to my Outlook Calendar. Benefits: One-stop for everything. I could just use Wrike every morning to understand what needs to happen. I could see what tasks are due for the day. I could see how much time I am investing on which projects. This would help with my time-sheet. As part of the Project Management Office, I could see which projects are tracking well in the business. This is possible if the two talk to each other.
