[From Wrike] Conditional Follow-Up Questions in Request Forms Are Here ๐
Pinned FeaturedHi everyone!
Weโre thrilled to announce a very exciting update to Wrikeโs request forms: itโs now possible to add conditional follow-up questions! ๐คฉ
We know that many of you have been looking forward to this release, and weโd like to take a moment to thank you for your feedback and for supporting the original suggestion ๐ Special thanks go to our amazing members who helped our Product team test this feature ๐คย
How does this work?
Starting now, you can add a follow-up paragraph question for a single answer-type of question:
To do that, click on the Conditional branching and assignment button and choose the option to Add a follow-up question.ย
In the dialogue that appears, youโll be able to write the question and a description and set the answer as required.
Youโll also be able to add the answer to the title and/or description of an item, as well as space- or account-level custom fields depending on the formโs setting.ย
Please note that this feature isn't available in our mobile applications at the moment.ย
This is just the first step and our team is planning to add more options to the types of questions where conditional follow-ups can apply, as well as the types of the follow-ups themselves ๐
Thatโs why your feedback is very important at this stage! Please share your excitement and further suggestions to this feature in the comments below ๐

You can use any of the following options:
If you have any questions, please let us know ๐
Great news!
Super!
It would be very useful the possibility to collect:
- more than one follow up questions
- adding other fields to follow up questions like (select, multiple choiche, data, etc)
OMG, this is amazing! So excited to finally have this feature.ย
This is fantastic!
This is a great update!ย Excited to see more in the future.
Thanks everyone ๐ค We're happy you're happy ๐ฅณ

This is a great addition! I agree with Pietro that adding more than 1 follow-up question and adding the ability for different field types would be very beneficial.ย
What if we don't want the answer to show up in the title or description? For example we have a multi page request form and the first question is a yes/no asking if the project request is a multi-channel campaign. Depending on the answer it goes to different pages, but we do not need that Yes/No recorded in the project description. Unless there is another way around page redirects?
Hi Liz Schaefer, welcome to the Community! Thank you for your feedback, I'll pass it on to our dedicated team ๐ Additionally, I would like to mention that you are welcome to explore our New to Community forum. Here, you can discover all the resources that our Community has to offer ๐
Samuel DTO 7.5-7.16 Kingsley thank you for your comment. You can choose the custom field where the answer will be mapped, it is not mandatory to add it to either the description or title fields. In order to deselect these fields, please first select another one.
Please, let us know if there is anything else we could help you with.
I am looking forward to additions to this new feature (besides a write-in answer, though that's a good start), especially the ability to redirect or add assignees or blueprints based on the follow-up question. THANK YOU for going down this path. I am so excited for what lies ahead!
@... I guess that could be a workaround so thank you for the idea. It does seem silly to create a custom field just for a redirect question in the request form since I don't need to record their yes/no answer.ย
Thank you for the additional feedback here, folks! We'll keep you posted on how this feature develops ๐

I would like to request multiple follow up options please, 1 is not enough for most of my needed forms - thank you!
I agree with the above comment! It would be awesome to have a total of 2 or 3 follow-up questions if one answer choice is selected.ย
Hi Delaney Murtaugh Kayli Reddoch (welcome to the Community!), thank you for sharing your feedback with us, I'm passing it over to our relevant team ๐
This is great! Please work on adding the ability for multiple follow up questions OR the ability to add a link. If I'm collecting requests for Project Management, Data Analysis, and Surveys, I could just make a separate form and add the link to redirect them to a form that captures that info. It would give us the ability to make a workaround until you can develop multiple follow up questions.
Hi Morgan Keirn, welcome to the Community! Thank you for your feedback, I've passed it on to our Product Team ๐
Please, feel free to check our New to Community forum to discover all the resources you can find in our Community ๐
ย It is great to be Abe to add the follow up question after multiple choice. But it is only limited to one question. Is there a way we can follow up with several questions
Hi Janet Ogola, welcome to the forums ๐
It's not possible at the moment but it would be great if you could share your use case for that!ย
