Report permalinks for external users
It would be great if there could be functionality that allowed sharing of a live permalink for a report to external users. We have a significant number of people who need to receive information only, no use case for collaboration and therefore doesn't merit the creation of collaborator accounts. It is cumbersome and time consuming to share snapshots of large volumes of different reports every week, so a live permalink of reports for external users would be fantastic.

Report snapshots are there for a use-case like yours - to share a static view of a report with users without a Wrike account. A live permalink of reports might not be as secure as a static snapshot, but I'll pass on your feedback to our Product team anyway 👍

Maybe instead of a link there could be a view only user type? We are trying to give our clients a real-time status update of their projects in a drop-in/drop-out manner. They don't need to interact with the project inside of Wrike and won't be assigned tasks. They just need to be able to see where its at, whenever they want to.
The report snapshots a) don't deliver on the real time and b) create more work and digital clutter for both us and our clients.

I agree! Our team uses a number of external request forms. In order for these people to see the status of their requests, they need visibility into the reports we have built. Today, there is not a way for them to see the status unless they are some type of user with access to each individual project/task (which is extremely difficult to maintain at this scale).

Same thing here: would love to be able to share reports without having to add a collaborator or logging in. We're an agency and our typical use case is that we interact with a project manager (PM) or marketing exec to get multiple projects coordinated ( as a collaborator so we can control internal views/comments of the task ) and the PM wants to provide an updated view of the report to their VP/supervisor, we don't really have access to that VP info nor does the VP want to be bothered to become part of another system with login/etc-so it seems sharing an external link showing the live view of the report would be quite useful.

Upvoted this request. I would 100% agree there is a need to be able to provide a permalink to reports for read-only purposes, but where the shared view is updated in real-time.
There is a use case for snapshots, but IMO it is a miss to not support the need for real time updates.

Upvoting as well. If security is the concern blocking this, could you just make them password protected static links or add the option to make them expire? (i.e. you can make a password to include with the link and it asks for it on page load. I've done this with reports in other programs shared with clients as they may have 10+ people on their side that want to view, and with all clients together, it'd be impossible to manage all those as user accounts.).
Otherwise, the basic functionality of this would be fine as is. It should be up to the creator to determine the risk of sharing a report indefinitely is acceptable. In our case, the information we plan to share is either already public of obfuscated anyways.
