Show only tasks with high priority

I think a tool like Wrike should be able to filter tasks with high priority. The function to mark something as being of "high importance" is here but having no option to use that in a dashboard or in a filter does not make sense.

Many people are using the Eisenhower Decision Matrix but the only option in Wrike is to use Folders. If I already marked something as beeing important why would I also have to put it in a folder too to mark it as beeing important.

What do others think?

Hi Beat, thank you for posting this! Including this into the list of Filters is a great idea, and while it's currently not an option, it's still possible to pull up a list of high priority tasks with the help of search commands:

  1. Open a Folder, Project, or the root of your account.
  2. Type the search command priority:high into the search bar at the top of the Workspace.
  3. If you want to see results for the Folder or Project you have opened, click "Search in current Folder".
  4. This criteria is now added to the list of enabled filters, and you can create a Dashboard Widget based on this list.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions about this functionality :)

Thank you very much for your help on this!

Calling a command priority that is not affecting priority but importance is confusing but not a problem...

With this command I could get a widget with tasks of high importance and being urgent but not a widget of taks being important and NOT urgent as Eisenhower suggested. I could not get this done even with all the great support from your live chat support...

So if you could take that into consideration for further improvements that would be great. Using the Eisenhower principle still makes sense today!

@Beat, thank you for following up! I'm happy to hear the search command was helpful. In regards to creating a widget for important and not urgent tasks, I had an idea based on the live chat you had with Serge. It looks like the criteria you use for defining tasks as "not urgent" is their due/start date, is that correct? In this case, I would recommend using search commands such as:

  • due:>tomorrow
  • start:=today

The days and values are interchangeable, and you can modify them to define the tasks which are not urgent for you. Multiple search commands can be applied at once, so this can be combined with priority too. Would this help? Looking forward to hearing what you think about this!

Hi Ryan! To do this:

  1. Type priority:high in the search field.
  2. Select "Search in Current Folder".
  3. Choose "Add to Dashboard" from the List View's menu:

Happy to answer any other questions about this!

Could you please update the search documentation to include the word "importance"? I had to dig way down into this comment thread to find out about the ability to filter on importance, because the search documentation only includes the word "priority", so it wasn't returned by my search for "filter by importance". thx!

Hi, big questionmark...

There is a search command and a way to "add to dashboard" but i'm not able to just create a widget and filter on importance AND/OR a way to just show me all tasks due:>tomorrow ? ...

I'm trying to adapt the Eisenhower Matrix and those filters would be key.

I the case of the comments above ¿How do I use AND/OR to apply several filters such as:

-priority:high
-due:>tomorrow
-start:=today

?

Hey everyone, apologies for the delay in response here.

It currently is not possible to use AND/OR for filters in Wrike at the moment, but, the Product team is very interested in this suggestion and will be investigating it in the near future. If anything changes in regards to this, I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, let me know.

HI all, I want to have a widget on a report that only shows tasks labelled as Importance: High. Is there a way I can do this?

I can only find a way to report on all tasks, not by priority or importance.
