Google Calendar Integration Feedback

We recently announced a new feature in Wrike Labs: a Google Calendar integration, which is perfect for scheduling time-based tasks in Google Calendar right from your Wrike Workspace. This is a new feature and we’d love to hear your thoughts as we continue working on it.

Let us know thoughts, ideas, and feedback in the comments section below. Looking forward to hearing about your experience or use-case!

Hi Jan, thank you for sharing your feedback!

When you choose to create an "All Day" event, the scheduling follows the same logic as in Google Calendar, and no specific time is assigned to a task/event. Instead, the event is displayed at the start of the day in the calendar, which indicates that it is ongoing. Leave this box unchecked to select any required time range. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions about the integration, I'll be happy to help :)

Currently ONLY desktop version can do google integration
It should also enable in IOS and Android platform...
If not it is very inconvenience... no body will carry laptop or desktop moving around
Can u imagine when try add task in Wrike Apps via IOS mobile phone or android device, it fail to integrate to google calendar and have to go back office or go back home Only can do google integration... it is doesn't make sense at all.

Hi David, I can see how that would be useful! It seems like there may be some technical sides to this, but I'll make sure to pass this to our Product Team for consideration :)

I love the Google calendar integration.  However, I have not been able to use it in a week because it fails to connect.  When I click on the 'Add to Google Calendar" button, the page flashes and nothing happens.

Perhaps my integration is broken.

How would I fix it?

Would it be possible for the google calendar integration for time ranges?  We have a need to be able to mirror Wrike timelines in Google Calendar and the integration only allows for the first day.  We have been manually extending it, but it's a time burden with the number of tasks we are working with. I've looked at the iCal and it does mirror, but I can't enable permissions on it to share with my team, and I can't ask 30+ people to all do the same thing individually.

The Google Calendar Integration is a good step; however, it is limited to one task at a time. We use the RSS iCal calendar sync with google as it allows entire folders from wrike to sync. There is a significant delay in the RSS calendar sync and the url needs to be manually added. We would like to see Wrike's google calendar integration expand from single tasks to entire folders. This would be very beneficial. Thank you.

HI all, thanks for your continued support of this idea and adding new feedback. We continue to report this thread to our Product Team to add value to their internal discussions. As soon as I have any update about this feature I'll be sure to post back here 👍

Having the calendar sync only once every 24 hours makes it somewhat useless.  It basically means that a team that relies on Google Calendar really can't schedule any tasks for any members that need to happen during the same day or maybe even early the next day and be assured that they'll see it on their calendar.  It basically makes the entire integration only useful for long term items and even for those you have to be careful not to make any changes if it's within 24 hours!  This is extremely disappointing.

It's nice to see that you can now add an entire folder, but with an active team, who wants to remember to add every folder as a separate feed and have it appear as a separate calendar (which would be very messy on the Calendar side once you get more than a few)?

The only work around is to organize all work under one giant master folder.  But the solution is so easy from Wrike's side... add the same calendar function to the team level, not just the folder level.  From a development and implementation aspect, this should be a fast and easy fix, as well as one that's very logical from a UI/UX aspect.

The calendar only syncing once every 24 hours is unfortunate but I realize that's out of Wrike's hands.

One feature that we would appreciate is a checkbox option when setting up the iCal to only show milestone tasks on the calendar instead of all the tasks in a folder. We had to create a seperate folder for the particular milestone task we need to see on a calendar, it's not a big deal but it adds a bit more complexity to our projects.

Will there ever be a way to have recurring tasks update in Google Calendar such that the recurring tasks are also inputted in the calendar?

Our team would really like to be able to book a 15 min task in wrike/google calendar.

Currently, the default is only 30 mins for the minimum time amount when using the google calendar integration.

We also noticed that when you move the calendar task in google or the project task in wrike, it does not automatically update for rescheduling purposes/reflect the change!

I've just added this point to Product feedback but it would be awesome if there was a way to automatically track the time for that meeting.
