Editing and Deleting Сustom Item Types
Account owners and admins can edit and delete existing account-level custom item types. Space admins can edit and delete existing space-level custom item types in their space.
Note
On Enterprise accounts, the types of users who can use this functionality may vary due to user type settings.
You can adjust your custom item types. Changes you make to a Custom Item Type are visible in all work created from this type, including work created before the edits. However, only structural changes will be applied. Changes to the description and workflow will not affect existing items.
Note
When you change the default workflow in a custom item type, it doesn't automatically update in the work created from that custom item type previously.

Navigate to the custom item types gallery:

For space-level types: Click the gear icon to enter space settings, then select Custom item types tab.

For account-level types: Click your profile image, select Settings, then click Custom item types in the panel on the left.

Click on the relevant type.

Make the necessary adjustments in the custom item type editor.

Your updates are saved automatically.
Alternative method:

Open any work item created from a custom item type, click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner 1 and select Change item type 2.

Navigate to the custom item type gallery

Hover over the relevant type

Click the recycle bin icon that appears in the lower-right corner

Click Delete in the pop-up that appears to confirm your decision
Important: Deleting a custom item type is permanent. Users can't create new work from this type, but existing work remains in the account.
