Find a Task, Folder, Project, or Custom Item Type in Wrike

Situation

You can’t find a task, folder, project, or custom item type in your workspace.

Troubleshooting

Search for the item

Enter the work item's title, ID, or a phrase from the description in the search field to find matching items in your account. Note that you will only be able to see the items that are currently shared with you.

Use permalinks

You can ask one of your teammates to send you a permalink of the missing task, folder, project, or custom item type so you can check if it’s shared with you.

Use email notifications

If you have an email notification about the missing task, folder, project, or custom item type, click Open update in Wrike from the email. If you see an error message stating "You don't have access to this", the item might have been unshared with you. Check if other account members have access to it and ask them to share the item with you.

  • Open the Search from the left-hand panel, or use Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) shortcut.
  • Enter the item’s name or ID in the search field.
  • Select "In recycle bin".
  • If you see the item you were looking for, click on it to see its details.
  • You can click "Restore" (in the top right corner) to bring the item out of the recycle bin.
It will be restored to its previous location.
