What’s New in Wrike – January 2026

Our January edition of What’s New in Wrike highlights enhancements to AI with AI Agents and AI Priority Inbox, new Klaxoon capabilities, improvements to the Gantt chart, and much more.

AI Agents - New Triggers, Actions, and Workflow Integration Upgrades

Available in Wrike Labs.

Recent updates bring AI Agents closer to true end-to-end workflow automation with richer actions, smarter triggers, deeper workflow integration, and better control.

What’s New?

New Triggers

  • Status Change: Agents react when tasks reach specific status.

  • Numerical Custom Fields: Agents can now read values like hours, currency, and percentages for smarter routing.

New Actions

  • Change Assignee: Agents route tasks to the right person based on skills and workload.

  • Change Item Name: Standardize naming conventions (e.g., auto-add “[URGENT]” prefix).

  • Change Status: Agents now move work forward, not just react to changes.

Workflow Integration

  • Agent Chaining: One agent’s action can trigger the next agent. No manual handoff needed.

  • Agents ↔ Automations: Agents can trigger automations and vice versa for bi-directional integration.

Management

  • Enable/Disable Toggle: Test AI Agents safely, or pause them during busy times.

  • Scheduler Timezone Support: Runs at selected time in selected time zone.

  • Clickable Location: Quick navigation to agent deployments.

  • Silent Mode: No notification spam, only get alerts when needed.

Klaxoon Board - Text Improvements

Available on Business and higher plans

Major improvements to text capabilities on Klaxoon Board are here, making whiteboards more versatile, polished, and efficient to work with.

What’s new?

  • Horizontal & vertical text alignment options for stickies for better visual consistency.

  • Rich text formatting on stickies: bold, italic, strikethrough, and underline.

  • Font options for stickies: choose between classic or handwritten styles.

  • Five additional fonts for text objects to better match your brand or presentation style.

  • Edit text object properties (e.g., font, size, color) without entering edit mode for faster adjustments.

  • Bulk styling: update the text style of multiple text objects at once.

These updates make it easier to create clear, professional-looking boards and quickly fine-tune text formatting without breaking your flow.

Timesheets - New Timesheets API and Enhanced Timelog API Capabilities

Available on Business and higher plans

New API capabilities give you more flexibility and control over time tracking and timesheet approval processes in Wrike, enabling deeper integration with your existing tools and workflows.

What’s new?

  • New Timesheets API allows you to:

    • Fetch timesheets per person, per week, including status, key dates, and tracked time.

    • Create new timesheets via the API.

    • Submit, approve, or reject timesheets.

    • Change the time tracking category for each timesheet row.

  • Timelog API now lets you:

    • Get lock status and export status for timelog entries.

    • Retrieve lock periods for spaces, folders, or projects.

    • Lock or unlock a space, folder, or project for a specific period.

These capabilities make it possible to:

  • Report on all unsubmitted timesheets (created but not submitted).

  • Lock a week after a project manager reviews project time.

  • Set a default time tracking category for all submitted timesheets.

  • Approve or reject timesheets via API after all project managers complete their review.

Gantt Chart - Manual Ordering and Upcoming Features

Available on Team and higher plans

Manual ordering is now available for all item types in the new Gantt chart, an improvement over the classic version, where only tasks could be reordered. Your custom order is preserved, giving you more flexibility in how you organize work.

What’s coming next in early 2026?

  • Snapshots, baselines, and export to PDF.

  • Once these features are available, the new Gantt chart will become the default view, with the option to switch back to the classic version.

  • Further enhancements such as critical path, start constraints, and task previews.

Databases - Easier Sync with Your Core Business Systems

Available for all paid Databases packages.

Keep your reference Databases always up to date with new options to sync Wrike with the business tools you rely on every day.

What’s new?

  • Wrike Sync (Unito) connector: Easily synchronize Wrike Databases with your systems of record.

  • Spreadsheet support: Update Databases directly from Google Sheets, Excel, or CSV files.

  • Turnkey integration: Connect core systems (CRM, ERP, etc.) to Wrike with minimal setup and ongoing maintenance.

These enhancements help ensure your key business data stays aligned across Wrike and your other tools, with less manual work and fewer data inconsistencies.

Mobile App (iOS) - AI Priority Inbox Update

Available on iOS. Availability on Android is coming soon

Recent improvements to AI Priority Inbox give you a more focused, true inbox experience on mobile and more control over how you work through notifications.

What’s new?

  • Set AI Priority Inbox as the default view to jump straight into your most important work.

  • Improved layout and functionality for easier navigation.

  • New swipe gestures to quickly mark items as read/unread or archive them.

  • Interact with notifications directly from the Inbox, and no more static lists.

  • Updated user onboarding to help you get the most out of AI Priority Inbox.

Klaxoon Administration - New Audit Log

Available for Klaxoon users.

A new Audit Log section is now live in Klaxoon Administration, giving admins greater transparency, control, and visibility into key platform events.

What’s new?

  • Dedicated Audit Log area: Accessible directly in Klaxoon Administration for all Team and Company Admins.

  • Advanced filtering: Search events by time range, event category, event type, and author to quickly find what you need.

  • Track critical activities: Monitor all existing audit log events, including attachment uploads and downloads (images, PDFs, etc. in Board, comments, questions).

  • Detailed event view: Open “View Event Details” to access raw data for each event and investigate activity more deeply.

  • Extended access to history: View and download up to 30 consecutive days of visible events, with historical data available for the last 12 months.

This update makes it easier to monitor platform activity in real time, support security and compliance needs, and reduce the need to dig through APIs for audit information.
