Grouping in Gantt Chart
Grouping in the Gantt Chart helps you organize work by fields like status, assignee, or custom fields. Expand or collapse groups, drag items to update values, and combine with filters or sorting for clarity. Make sure custom fields are visible to group by them, and use grouping to see tasks and subitems from different projects in one streamlined list.

Grouping in Gantt Chart allows you to organize and visualize your work data more easily and create less complicated work structures.With grouping, you’ll be able to expand and collapse individual groups, drag and drop items to another group to change that field’s value, as well as filter and sort.
You can now group your system field items like status, due date, start date, assignee. To do that:

Click the Try new Gantt Chart button in the upper right-hand corner of your work space 1.

Click on the Group button 2 on the toolbar.

Select the type of grouping option from the list 3, depending on how you need to visualize the tasks, projects, folders in the view.
Note
When Gantt Chart is created, the None grouping option is applied as default.
You can now group your custom fields from the Group option, to do so:

Navigate to the selected folder, project, or space and switch to Gantt Chart 1.

Click the Try new Gantt Chart button in the upper right-hand corner of your workspace 2.
To view custom fields in the grouping menu, they must be included in the current view. Follow these steps to add custom fields:

Click on the Add column button in the table header 1.

Click the toggle button next to the type of custom field you want to add to the current view from the drop-down 2.
OR

Click on the Fields button 2 from the toolbar.

Click on the toggle button next to the type of custom field you want to add to the current view from the drop-down 3.

Click on the Group button 4 on the toolbar.

Select the custom field you want to group and sort by from the drop-down menu 5.
The grouping option will be applied right away.
Note
If there is no value for the specified field, then items would be grouped under Empty.
This feature enables you to view all the tasks and subitems from the various projects and folders in a single list.
To view the tasks in a single list:

Click on the Subitems button 1 on the toolbar

Click on the Single lists of tasks 2 from the drop-down menu.

To display all tasks and sub-items within the hierarchy of projects and folders, select the Projects and tasks structure 3.
