Grouping in Table View
This feature allows you to organize and visualize your work data more easily and create less complicated work structures.
With grouping, you’ll be able to expand and collapse individual groups, drag and drop items to another group to change that field’s value, as well as filter and sort.
Grouping also comes with subtotals shown on groups for all numeric fields. It applies for the groups of items and doesn’t include sub-items unless they are rolled up to the parent items.
Note
-
Only the first level of items are grouped, so subitems remain ungrouped and live under parent items.
-
Subtotals would work only when aggregation is set in custom field settings (SUM or AVG, if it would be set to NONE – it won't show subtotals).
You can now group your system field items like status, due date, start date, assignee by:
-
Navigate to the selected folder, project, or space and switch to Table view 1.
-
Click on the Group button 2 on the toolbar.
-
Select the type of grouping option from the list 3, how you need to visualize the tasks, projects, folders in the view.
The grouping option will be applied right away. Also you can sort the groups in ascending or descending order from the menu 4.
Note
When Table view is created, the None grouping option is applied as default.
You can now group your custom fields from the Group option, to do so:
