TL;DR

Group admins can edit settings for groups they manage, while account admins can edit any group unless restricted on Pinnacle accounts. Go to Profile image → Settings → Users, select a group, click Group settings, update its name, initials, avatar color, Home item, or Welcome item, then click Update.

Overview

User group admins can edit settings of user subgroups that they manage. Account admins can edit settings of any user group or subgroup in the account. On Pinnacle accounts, account admins' right to edit user groups settings can be revoked

Group settings include the group's name, initials, avatar color, home item and welcome item. You can change any of these settings at any time.

How to Edit User Group Settings

  1. Click your profile image in the upper-left corner of your Workspace 1.
  2. Select Settings 2 from the dropdown menu.

  3. Click Users 3 in the left panel to open a list of all users and groups in the account.
  4. From the left-hand panel, select the group which you want to rename 4. If you don't see the group in the list: click next to the magnifying glass icon, start typing its name, and click its title once it appears.
  5. Click Group settings 5 to the right of the group's title.

  6. Adjust the settings as per your needs:
    1. Enter a new name for your user group 6.
    2. Enter one or two letters in the Initials 7 field to edit initials.
    3. Click on one of the available colors in the window to change the avatar color 8.
    4. Click Select a Dashboard 9 and choose a dashboard from the dropdown list to set it as a Home item for all users in the User Group. If you don't see the dashboard in the list, start typing its name in the search field and click its title once it appears.
    5. Click Select a project, folder or space or Select a Dashboard 10 to choose a Welcome item or dashboard for newly invited account members added to this group to see when they reach their workspace for the first time. If you don't see an item or dashboard in the list, start typing its name in the search field and click its title once it appears.
  7. Click Update 11.
