Editing Gantt Chart Snapshots

TL;DR:

Open the folder, project, or space in Classic or New Gantt Chart, go to Public snapshots/Public sharing > Past snapshots, hover over the snapshot, click Edit, then rename it, adjust assignee visibility, toggle the public link, and click Save.

Overview

All users (except Collaborators, Contributors, and Viewers) can edit Gantt chart snapshots.

You can rename snapshots, show or hide assignee names, and turn public link sharing on or off in both the Classic and New Gantt Chart views.

How to Edit a Snapshot in Classic Gantt Chart

  1. Navigate to a folder, project, or space and switch to Gantt Chart 1.

  2. Click Public snapshots 2 on the toolbar.

  3. You’ll see a list with the titles of that folder, project, or space's previous snapshots. If no snapshots had been created, then you’ll only see the option to create a new snapshot.

  4. Hover over the snapshot you want to edit and click on the three-dot menu button 3 next to the snapshot title.

  5. Select the Edit option 4 from the list.

  6. From the menu 5 you can:

    1. Rename a snapshot.

    2. Show or hide assignees’ names from a snapshot.

    3. Enable or disable the option to share the snapshot via a link.

  7. Click Save 6 once you make the necessary changes.

How to Edit a Snapshot in New Gantt Chart

  1. Navigate to the selected folder, project, or space and switch to Gantt Chart 1.

  2. Click the Try new Gantt Chart button 2 in the upper right-hand corner of your workspace.

  3. Click the Public sharing icon 3 on the toolbar and select Share public snapshot… 4 from the drop-down.

  4. Click the Past snapshots tab 5.

    Note

    You’ll see a list of snapshots with their titles. If no snapshots exist, you’ll see an option to create a new snapshot.

  5. Hover over the snapshot you want to edit and click the three-dot menu button 6 next to its title.

  6. Select Edit 7 from the drop-down.

  7. In the menu 8 you can:

    1. Rename a snapshot.

    2. Show or hide assignee names.

    3. Turn public link sharing on or off.

  8. Click Save 9 after you make your changes.
