1.)From Wrike, click on your picture in the top right-hand corner and select Account Management.

2.) Select the user from your user list.

3.) The second option there is a section called "Deactivate User". Here you can deactivate the user without deleting them, essentially blocking them from accessing Wrike.

I do not have these options, only Delete. Is there a difference if it's a collaborator versus and licensed user?

I do not have these options only Delete. I think that only the account owner has delete. But then why would I be able to Delete and not to Deactivate.

Hi guys, let me try clear this up a little.

In terms of deactivating accounts here's some information about who can do what. Keep in mind it depends on the admin permissions you've been granted by the account Owner/Admin.

Here's some information regarding deleting/removing a User. This is very different from deactivating a User as al related information is completely deleted and gone forever 😱

@Tara, you should be able to deactivate and delete. Can you check the permissions links above and let me know if you're still facing an issue and I can take a closer look for you 👍

@Stephen, I only have the ability to Delete, not to Deactivate nor to Log in As. This is for an External User, Regular User and Collaborator. I am the owner and admin on our account. 😞

@Stephen, I am an Administrator on my account, however we only have a Professional account, not an Enterprise. Is that the issue? If so, I'm unsure why this function would be limited to Enterprise accounts. We are a small team with only 3 main users, but have a lot of collaborators, and it would be really helpful to be able to deactivate accounts without deleting them.

Hi everyone, taking advantage of time zones here and jumping in for Stephen. @Tara you're right, the ability to deactivate users is an Enterprise only feature. The Enterprise plan is geared toward security-related features that larger teams tend to need, which is why the option to deactivate is included as part of that account type.

Thanks, Stephanie 🙏

@Marj, same applies to you here in terms of it being an Enterprise feature. Sorry for the confusion!

Is this something that will be rolled out to other license levels in the future? I am sure that all teams, regardless of size, will have employees come and go.

Hi Ginger, there are no immediate plans to make this a feature for other accounts. However, you can make a Product Feedback request which will help expose the idea to the relevant Product Team 👍

Hi all, if I delete a regular user, can I still interact with him/her as a guest user/reviewer? I also don't have the "deactivate" feature and think that's a something that should be available to all accounts. Thanks!

Hi Lilian Clemente, you can have anyone as a guest reviewer as long as you have their email address. So you could delete the user, and send them on the invite for guest review and they'll be able to review files attached to tasks, folders, and projects.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, let me know.
