- Timesheets: New Timesheets API And Enhanced Timelog API Capabilities ⏱️
We’re thrilled to share a major update related to Timesheets! The new API capabilities lets you tailor your time tracking workflows and provides even more flexibility and control over time tracking and timesheet approval processes in Wrike.
What’s new?
- New Timesheets API allows you to:
- Fetch timesheets per person, per week, including information on status, important dates, and tracked time
- Create new timesheets via the API
- Submit, approve, or reject timesheets
- Change the time tracking category for each Timesheet row
- Enhanced capabilities for Timelog API:
a. Get the lock status and export status for timelog entries
b. Retrieve lock periods for spaces, folders, or projects
c. Lock or unlock a space, folder, or project for a specific period
Real-World Examples
- Report on all unsubmitted timesheets (created but not submitted)
- Lock the week after a project manager reviews project time
- Set a default time tracking category for all submitted timesheets
- Approve or reject timesheets via API after all PMs complete their review

- Gantt Chart: Manual Ordering And Upcoming Features 📊
We are excited to share that Manual Ordering of all item types is now available in the new Gantt chart- an enhancement over the classic version, where only tasks could be reordered. Your custom order is preserved, giving you more flexibility in organizing your work.
What’s coming next in early 2026?
- Snapshots, baselines, and export to PDF features.
- Once these are available, the new Gantt will become the default view, with the option to switch back to the classic version.
- Further improvements like critical path, start constraints, and task previews will follow.
