Task & Folder Followers Cleared?

Hi, I am not sure where to ask this question. 

A coworker noticed that she was not getting notifications on her new tasks. I went to the folder where her tasks are assigned by the request form. There were no followers. I added her.

Today I discovered I missed a quick turnaround task last week. I went to check my folder to see if I was following it and I was not. 

If I am assigned a task, I get automatically notified if my notifications are on, correct? I thought I remembered that placing me in the Followers list too.
I know you can @assignees and you can @followers, so now I am wondering what triggers the notification.

The reason I am asking is that we updated and I need to know if all of the followers have been accidentally cleared, or if they were never there.

Hi Kelly R, happy to help you with this. If you are referring to Inbox notifications, you can check all the expected notifications when following a task here. When a user is assigned a task, they automatically become followers of the task.
 
When you follow a folder, these are the notifications that should be triggered. In case this is not working as expected, please feel free to open a ticket with our Support Team via this form so our agents can investigate your case.

Hi @..., I believe this is part of the same issue you submitted the ticket for. We stopped getting notifications, and when I investigated, it appeared that our "follower" settings had been cleared? removed? I have restored the most important ones, but I haven't had a chance to review all of our tasks to see if the assignees have been restored as "followers" on each of their tasks. Will take a look when I get a minute. :)
