Document Review

Is there a webinar or outline on how to use a document review process within WRIKE? I would like to be able to post a file and have a contingency of reviewers/proofers could be notified and their comments compiled.

Hi John! We do have a paid add-on, Proofing and Approvals, which lets individuals add comments to a file and then you can assign specific people to review the files and they would either approve or say that changes are required. This video goes over the functionality and how the workflow works. Let me know if you want more information about this feature, happy to get more resources.

That said, I want to try and suggest workarounds in case that doesn't work for you. Do you think you could tell me what type of files need to be reviewed (what file type), and how many people normally need to review?

Hi Stephanie,

Thanks for the response. I am fairly new to Wrike.

I would guess it would be mainly PDFs. I would like to assign a proofing team that would get notified when the document is posted and they could make comments directly. All comments would be compiled in the one document so everyone on the proofing team would be able to see them. I would also need to make sure there was some type of version control process as well, so everyone knew what version was being reviewed.

With the paid add on is this based on the number of seats required? How does that work?

Hi John, I apologize for the delayed reply. Yes, proofing would work with PDFs and you'd be able to add comments directly on a document. Everyone would add their comments to the same document, so you can see what others have said/pointed out. We do have versioning as well. You can upload a new version of a document and view previous versions. Each time you upload a new version of the document, the new version is free of comments, but you can go back and view previous versions and the comments that were left on that version. When you click on an attachment, the latest version of the file opens by default so everyone should stay on the same page about what is being reviewed. Do you think that would work for your team?

In terms of notifications, I think the best practice would be to @mention users once documents are ready to review (so that they get a notification), or create a Custom Status (something like "Ready to Review", that signals that there are attachments that should be looked at.

Yes, the add-on is based on the number of seats you have. I've also let Jed (your account manager know) so that he can reach out and show you the Proofing functionality directly and he'll be able to go into more details about pricing.

Thanks Stephanie! Please have Jed reach out to me as I would like like to have a demo on the versioning and the document editing/proofing process. I am out the week of the 15th but would like to see something the week of May 22 if possible. Please advise and again thanks for the information.

No problem :) I'll see Jed today and have him reach out to you so that you guys can schedule something. I'll make sure to let him know that you're out next week but would like to do something the week after that. Let me know if you have any other questions I can help with in the meantime.

Hello,

Would you be able to guide through two questions I would have about proofing documents please?

Using the regular Wrike program:

1- Is there a tool that will help rotate the page during a review?

2- Is there an option to download the PDF with the added comments?

Thank you very much, this would be very helpful to our company.

Marie

Hi Marie, thank you for posting this on the Community! :) These features aren't currently available, but I wanted to point you to a couple of feature requests asking for this functionality, it would be great to see your vote there:
