[Status: Backburner ⏳] Embed Wrike views into webpages
We often have webpages and sharepoint sites that we share with clients to manage projects. It would be good to be able to embed views such as task lists, Gantt charts, project reports into the webpages.
I totally agree!! Would be nice, too, to be able to more easily link to SP within Wrike's tasks
Hi @Andrew and @Megan! Thank you for submitting this request. I know that this isn't the functionality you mentioned here, but just in case I wanted to suggest a few other ways to easily share data with external clients:
Happy to hear any other ideas/feedback you have!
Thanks Anastasia. We use these snapshots and think they are great for sharing with clients. We'd like to extend that functionality where the project plan (current version) is displayed at the top of the sharepoint project site along with the project documents, contacts etc. Thanks for the suggestions!
@Andrew, there's another suggestion I wanted to share in case it's helpful, but it would require some engineering resources on your end to accomplish. Wrike's open API allows you to connect to other apps with the help of custom integrations, and there are several reference materials online about the Sharepoint 2013 API too. With some development effort, an integration pulling certain data from Wrike into Sharepoint can be built. The complete documentation about our API can be found on the Developers Portal, and we also have a dedicated API Community where everyone can share their use cases and best practices. I'll be happy to connect you with one of our API specialists to discuss this further!
We definitely would like to have this functionality. If we could embed a snapshot into a webpage, internal staff could monitor our progress without clogging up emails, taking multiple calls, etc. This could be very valuable for our team.
Hi Timothy! Which views would you embed? Curious about what exactly your team would be tracking. Looking forward to learning more!

Just wanted to say that I am also in support of a publicly facing "no login required" permalink. This would be a read-only view. No need to interact.
Examples would be:
1) Embedding pages in other systems (where a login would create friction for this process)
2) Picky executives that really do not like to have to log in to anything.
3) Creating automated reporting from external systems.
Also, snapshots are not always ideal ... they provide a past status, versus answering the question, "where are we right now".
The use of an API call here feels like using a sledgehammer to solve a simple framing hammer problem. 😀
Thx.
I would also appreciate the solution described by Warren.
I’m looking to do this by integrating with a BI (business intel) platform such as Grow or Domo.
We would want to embed the calendar view in SharePoint because that is where we host our roadmaps and we use the Wrike calendars for roadmaps.
I'd love to be able to embed this kind of read-only view as well. Specifically, into Google Docs where we keep our Product Requirements documentation.
If there were read-only views that could be embedded into external websites, then it would (should?) be possible to write a simple Google Docs add-on to embed it into a Google Doc.
Specifically, I would like to be able to embed a simplified task-list that just shows all the tasks in a given folder/project, and their assignees, due dates and statuses, so that from a Product Requirements doc, the product team can see progress on a product or feature.
Very much in favor of public or embedded views! We don't need anyone to make edits, just to view the current status of projects and tasks. This would benefit us by being able to showcase our work internally, as well as easily keep our clients informed of progress on their projects. I've also been playing with Real Time Board for additional organization and I would have loved to embed or share a public link there so I can always pull up a preset Wrike view or report.
Totally agree - this would be very helpful! I'm surprised this isn't available since it seems like the framework is already there (publicly accessible "snapshots").
We're trying to move a lot out of our processes out of Airtable and this is constantly the gotcha. I can take any Airtable view and embed it into our Intranet and partner portals. Killing me Wrike can't do same and time consuming to sort out work arounds.
I'll add that I'd probably start with embedding Dashboard widgets. These are ready-made for embedding, and I have no doubt any Wrike developer could turn this around in very short-time. Would be a great please to start and help us make Wrike out workflow standard.
I agree with all of the above, being able to embed a view only version of the Gantt or board view would be extremely helpful
Hi everyone, thanks a lot for posting here 🙂 This feature is not planned currently; I'll get back to you if that ever changes. Thank you!

Can't help but think given the technical simplicity of it that the resistance is a commercial one and short-sighted. I guess the potential for some users to use it as a work-around to reduce the number of licenses they use might be a concern for Wrike. However, I think if it's read-online it shouldn't be an issue, and doesn't seem to be an issue for the likes of Airtable and trello who both offer this ability.
For others looking into this, I recommend asking about Wrike's integration add-on, which uses Workato to get your data out of Wrike into spreadsheets, etc. Its a bunch of work to replicate what should to me be a no-brainer option, and I certainly begrudge the many hours I've had to put into it - we're using Google Data Studio as the end-user viewing tool, but on the upside we've got some cracking dashboards that combine task-related data/info with other forms of captured data.
This functionality would go a long way for my team and reporting needs and would further justify the business need for Wrike licenses.
The ability to embed snapshots into other reports would be invaluable for us. We use Data Studio to collate all our reporting across platforms for our executive team. The simplest way to capture Wrike work product would be to embed a snapshot directly into this report; right now I am required to export all the data as a CSV and then recreate the functionality manually in Data Studio, which is a clunky workaround.
If you added the ability to embed I would sign up for the paid version in a heartbeat, otherwise no. Will you be adding this feature??
Just posted in the thread below re: custom field type as link:
@al sape
I do not see the realation of your post to the topic discussed here. We are talking about embedded views on wrike tasks/charts/lists from the outside - not about placing links to third party tools in wrike tasks.
Fabian, at the start of this thread Megan, a Black Belt, mentioned that it would be useful to link to Sharepoint from within Wrike:
https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115000085045/comments/115000048949
what I'm talking about is related to that "Reverse" concept of being able to see an external link in Wrike, something I think is equally under-developed. I 100% vote for the main functionality of taking Wrike "externally" that most of the posters are talking about here, I've added my "+" here as well.
I think it's also worth noting that in order to get some of this functionality, you can pick up the Wrike Integrate license - which is not a great solution as this is very expensive, and as some colleagues have noted developer-intensive (I too use Google Data Studio). On the flipside, Wrike for Marketers gives you a few more file types you can see "inside" Wrike, and is even more expensive than Integrate. All in all both of this functionality is readily available in tools like Coda, Notion, ClickUp, and others, essentially for free with no coding necessary. I agree also Phil this seems like a very easy implementation on the dev side of Wrike.
Hope that's useful to the Wrike team and this group, regardless of me being somewhat off topic, very much would like to see the ability to embed Wrike in other tools externally!
@Al Sape
Thank you for clarification, I did not see the post of Megan. I totally agree with you that there should be no coding necessary.
btw. you already got my plus on this topic. I only tried to understand the correlation. ;-)
Fabian, thanks! Let's hope that by keeping this thread going we can get the attention of the Wrike product team and get some movement on bringing this badly needed feature to deployment! I am using Wrike to replace Confluence in an internal Wiki implementation, and ability to share content externally was a big pain point with Atlassian and Confluence, I'm counting on the Wrike product folks to solve this before Atlassian was willing to!
Cheers!
Public Embed features are now starting to be available on competitors platforms. Is WRIKE going to allow embedding of reports, or tables?
Tony Martinez which platforms have you noticed the Public Embed feature? Is it a true public link??
Thanks for letting me know! It will help me A LOT if you can point me in the right direction :)
Riley Kearl: There is a feature in Monday.com that is called Broadcast. It lets you embed any view into any website that supports EMBED. I use it on sharepoint. All views are supported. Table views, Kanban Boards, lists etc. Hope this helps.
Thanks Tony, do you know if any platforms that allow broadcasting with edit functionality in the embed instance as well?
sorry Riley Kearl, There are none that i know of that allow editing.
