Hi Community 👋
We are very excited to announce the release of AI Subtask Creation in Wrike Labs 🔥
What is AI Subtask Creation?
AI Subtask Creation is a new experimental Wrike platform capability based on machine learning (ML) technology and natural language processing that allows you to easily create subtasks from your task’s description. It is one more smart feature of our Wrike’s Work Intelligence™ suite.
Meeting notes are a prime example of how you can use AI Subtask Creation to drive unstructured work forward. This brand new AI feature automatically sifts through unstructured meeting notes that you keep in a Wrike task description and extracts key action items in the form of subtasks.
It’s possible to use this functionality for a variety of situations outside meeting notes as well. If you would like to add additional action items or context to an external email, Slack message, document, or a request submitted via a Wrike Request Form, you can copy and paste the supplemental details into your Wrike task, and have our AI handle subtask generation and structuring. It takes seconds to translate an email from a client into a set of changes required for a client project. When the project manager brings some notes from a Slack conversation into the Wrike task, smart AI makes sure it becomes a list of structured steps to act upon with the project team.
In a nutshell, with AI Subtask Creation, you can quickly convert your meeting minutes, documents, checklists, and much more, into subtasks of your current task. This means no more notes in emails, chats, or meetings are left behind - they can now be turned into action items in a couple of clicks.
How to Use AI Subtask Creation?
To start creating subtasks automatically, simply highlight the relevant text in the task description to see these two new buttons:
1. The first button enables simple subtask creation from each line of text. It can be useful for structured text, like checklists, meeting notes, etc. After creating subtasks, the corresponding text in the description will be updated with permalinks to the subtasks created.
2. The second new button is for the smart AI subtask creation. It uses machine learning algorithms to analyze the highlighted text and finds only actionable items. It works with unstructured text in the English language and identifies sentences that look like tasks, based on certain criteria. You can use it for emails, messages, documents, or slides. You can highlight a full task description or choose only a certain part of the text to help the algorithm. Please note that some more complicated sentences may not be recognized.
You can take it further with Wrike’s document processing functionality on Wrike for iOS or Wrike for Android. Take a shot of a document or notes with your phone, then let our Machine Learning technology recognize it via a Wrike Mobile App, quickly add these notes to the task description section and the AI Subtask Creation will convert them into actions 👍
How to Enable AI Subtask Creation?
Start using the brand new AI Subtask Creation functionality by enabling it in Wrike Labs.
The team plans to improve this functionality and introduce more smart features that will help you easily create, assign, and complete tasks.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped us beta test this feature 🤗 We really appreciate your help!
