[From Wrike] The New Wrike Experience - Update ๐Ÿ“Œ

Featured
Hi folks ๐Ÿ‘‹
ย
Following on from our recent announcement on the New Wrike Experience, we're back with some more updates we think you'll like! ๐Ÿ“ฆ
ย
As we continue to roll-out the New Experience, we also continue to review your insights on how we can improve the experience for you. One piece of feedback we received was that some users missed the quick access to starred items in the folder tree and were finding navigating to pinned items more time-consuming.
ย
So, today, we're really happy to bring you a fresh update to Pinned items! From now on, all of your pinned items will be available in the Hamburger menu making them easier and quicker to access. This section can be collapsed and expanded by clicking on the title 'Pinned' in the Hamburger menu. Check out this Help Center article for more detail.
ย
ย
In the coming weeks, we'll also be adding the ability to expand your pinned folders and projects with sub-folders/sub-projects in the Hamburger menu. This update aims to make it quicker and easier to access the work most important to you.
ย
We hope you like this update and we'll be sure to let you know when the next phase of this release is launched. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments below. Thank you for all of your feedback and insights and for helping us to shape the New Wrike Experience ๐Ÿ’š

I completely forgot about this feature. This will be great to share with my team members who have just switched over to the New Experience.ย

Still requires extra clicking. Remind me again what was wrong with the old interface?

Very nice. Always good to have options. I do pin my projects that are highest priority for quick review. Very helpful.

I like it, thank you for listening to feedback. But I also agree with Alexander Numann,

why don't you bring it back to the top of the folder structure (in addition)?

This update is definitely a step in the right direction! Thanks for listening to the feedback :) I also agree with Florian and Alexander. To take it a step further, it'd be really nice if we had the ability to pin, or keep the left nav panel on the side so those pinned items can be accessible all the time. In the new workspace it covers your content instead of pushing everything to the side. The ability to choose if it gets pinned there or not would be ideal. I really miss that nav panel being there all the time from the classic view - it was so convenient and made things one click away. Even with this update it's still a 2 click process.ย

I have to agree with comments above. I am just getting started with new experience. But getting to specific job is slower in the new experience. We use job numbers. If I know the exact job number, currently there is now way to quickly find and land on the job and begin to work. When using the search in the upper right, if I hit enter, I get a few misc tasks. If wait after entering the number, it does populate in the suggested search items below. but it is slow to load.

While not perfect, i miss the search / filter field in the upper left of the old experience. I could type the job number, hit enter and quickly filter for the exact job I wanted. thanks for listening.

I like it though it does feel a bit much as well - I experience the Wrike version from 2017 and it was definitely cluttered back then!

Uuuugh! Why can't you just put it back the way it was before!?ย  It is NOT ok to bury it within the infamous Hamburger menu.ย  I built my entire workflow and folder structure around having the pinned/starred folders at the top of the left menu.ย  Always visible and remaining expanded however I set it.ย  That's where I think most people would expect to find "favorites" - out and visible.ย  Favorites should not be buried under other menus and not visible all the time.ย  I'm fine with change when it's better, but I can't believe Wrike would change productivity software without consideration for workflow.ย  Please make this an option for "always visible" if need be.ย  For this SOLE reason I remain on the "Old Experience" but fear the day when Wrike deactivates the old experience.

I like that it has returned - as you do not have to return to the home page to navigate to other pinned items.

I was going to comment that I don't like to always have to see it and would be nice to be able to hide it - but it seems you have already rolled that out!ย  Clicking "Pinned Items" Toggles it already!!ย  Nice work!

The only other thing that I would add is making the pinned items background lighter or different from the rest of the navigation, as now if you have a lot of access, it would be nice to be able to differentiate visually!

I must say I'm disappointed by the change in Pinned panel display - I do not want to have to click to several menus to get to my favourites. The so called new experience kicked in yesterday for me and I can't see any option to freeze it where I want it - left side panel where it was! This is the last thing I expected from a productivity system - please, can we have the option to pin our pinned projects?

Don't forget the constant pop-ups about new features no one asked for and no one cares about. I don't need to add my title and job description, I need Wrike to let me do my work without slowing me down, or distracting me. The new interface's loss of productivity (extra clicks needed to do the same amount of work) and constant demands for attention and maintenance indicate to me that Wrike does not value or prioritize my time.

Hello, Desi Klincheva, thanks for getting in touch and sharing your feedback with us here.
ย
May I ask if you've considered using the Home Page pinned section for easy access to your favorites? You can also move the pinned items section to the top, and change the order between them using drag and drop. The pinned items will appear on the Hamburger Menu as the first section.
ย
Please also allow me to also give a bit more detail on the New Wrike Experience. The New Wrike Experience is being introduced based on user feedback, research, and investigation, to improve our UI and UX. Our team is reviewing all feedback received from all channels including the Wrike's Community, so please do continue to share your thoughts and insights with us here. More information on the New Wrike Experience can be found on our FAQ page.
ย
Thank you again for your feedback and please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Cansu, thank you for your response. I can indeed see the pinned section in the home page, however this is not giving me any better navigation than via the Hamburger Menu. My use case is this: I'm in project 5, task 3 and I wonder what was that standard comment that I have to post here but don't remember the exact wording of. I know that I have previously posted the same comment in project 4. Both projects are pinned but from where I'm sitting (in project 5, task 3), I can't go to project 4 with 1 click as I was able to do in the old experience. Now I have to click on the hamburger menu in order to open the pinned section and then click on project 4. I don't know who gave this as a suggestion, let alone as an improvement. If I was able to do something with 1 click and now I have to do it with 2 clicks then I don't consider this an improvement. It is not unheard of having the "Favourites" hiding - we have seen this in other systems - but an option to pin/freeze/lock those Favourites is not only such a simple solution but also quite standard one. Having said all that, if I'm still missing an option to fix my pined on the screen, please let me know how. Thanks!ย ย

Hi Desi Klincheva, thanks for getting back to me and for your clarification. Currently, it does require two clicks as you mentioned. I've passed on your feedback to our Product team ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
