[Best Practices] Communicating in Wrike ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Hey everyone!
ย
As teams adapt to remote collaboration, it's more important than ever to maintain strong communication between teams. Wrike can help you communicate with your team and keep you up to speed with the latest changes and updates related to your work. It can also help you to quickly share information with clients and people outside of your organisation that you may need to collaborate with. Here are some of the ways you can use Wrike to keep in touch:
ย

1) @mentioning

ย
The comments stream under tasks and projects is a great place to keep up to date and stay in touch when collaborating. Be sure to always @mention the person you're speaking to. This way, all of your messages will appear in their Inbox, and none of your messages will be missed!
ย
ย
An assignee won't get an update in their Inbox if there are any changes to the tasks / projects they are assigned to. @mentioning is the best way share information quickly and easily in Wrike.
ย

2) Shared Calendar

ย
If you're not sharing the same office, it may be harder to know what your team is working on. One way to see what everyone is focused on is to create a shared Calendar and place all of your team's tasks in it. This way, you can see what your team is occupied with, easily offer support, or even reassign tasks to redistribute work where needs be.
ย
ย
Using calendars also provides you with the option to provide public links to share your calendar with anyone who needs to see it. This is especially helpful for planning ahead and for teams who may need to share this information with someone outside of their organisation.
ย

3) Custom Fields

ย
Depending on which view you primarily work with, you might want to consider utilizing custom fields as a way to communicate ideas to your team. Specifically, open text custom fields are a great way to quickly share notes on a task without having to open the task description.
ย
ย
This could be helpful for teams that are working on multiple tasks at a time and need to quickly see what changes/updates need to be made. Add this custom field to your projects in Table view and experiment to see how this may help you communicate better.
ย

4) Integrations

ย
Wrike has many integrations available and some of these can help you to stay in touch with your team and clients. Slack, Google Suite and our email integration can all help facilitate communication in Wrike. You can create tasks and assign them to your team through our Slack integration. With Google Suite, you can create Google Calendar events for meetings from Wrike tasks. And with our email integration, you can comment under tasks and update their status.
ย
ย
All of Wrike's integrations come with benefits that can help you organize your work. You can enable them all in your App Directory.
ย

5) Scheduling 1:1's

ย
One of the best ways to make sure your team is communicating well at this time is to catch up with them regularly in a 1:1 setting. You should make sure you discuss what you've been working on and offer advice and assistance when needed.
