Report on effort split

Is there a possibility to get a report with the effort per task assignee in case of split of effort when the task is assigned to more than one assignee and only show the part of the effort split of the assignee, not the whole effort for the ask ?

This is something that's really essential for us as well. Any report that I create to see the total amount of effort allocated to each team member is inaccurate as the total effort for shared tasks is displayed, when actually only part of the effort is allocated to one individual.

Seems like a crucial thing to miss off - how can we manage people's capacities if efforts aren't accurate?

This is crucial to us as well.

The Wrike Report does a great job summarizing hours across a selection of our projects, but sadly tasks with more than one assignee ruins the value of this feature.

Hi everyone! To effectively manage capacity and effort, Wrike offers Wrike for Professional Services package and Wrike Resource add-on. For example, Workload Charts are available both for WfPS and Wrike Resource customers, and it helps you manage your team members’ capacity, prioritize tasks based on their capacity, and plan work allocation. Please let me know if you have any questions, I'll be happy to assist!

Hi Lisa,

and thanks for the input. With all respect I think you're missing the point :-)
In my view we are all asking for a Report that takes Flexible Allocation into account when grouping per assignee

Yvan De Brouwer:   "Is there a possibility to get a report with the effort per task assignee in case of split of effort"
Hannah Corbett:     "Any report that I create to see the total amount of effort allocated to each team member is inaccurate"
Me:                           "The Wrike Report... - ... tasks with more than one assignee ruins the value of this feature"

Value (Outcome): What I'm looking to achieve is a Report that tells me how many hours each assignee will work on a project (or a selection of projects).

In the example below, three assignee's are working on the same task which has a total effort of 30h.
If you edit the task, click on the "date and effort" button you have the option of changing the Effort (click the slider in the bottom right corner to expand the Effort area)
By default, Wrike use "Basic" mode and distributes the total effort of 30h evenly across the three assignees.

That is 10h per assignee, but the report still says 30h per assignee - which is wrong.

Switching to "Flexible" mode (which is also a requirement for us) Wrike changes the total effort to 32.2h (looks like a bug) and distributes this "new" total effort across the three assignee's

That is 10h 44m (which is wrong) per assignee, but the report still says 30h per assignee - which is still wrong.

Also in "Flexible" mode I would expect that I can change the allocation, hence the word "flexible", giving the assignee's an uneven distribution of effort. Ex. [5h, 5h, 20h]. The report should reflect this as well.

Using the Workload view won't solve this. And for this usecase I don't need to allocate on specific days, just flexible allocation of a given effort between assignees working on the same task that has a start and end date.

It seems that your product team did think about this usecase, but it isn't fully implemented yet or buggy at this time.

I've same problem is not possible to have to export report data to XLS to get the actual workload.
Also because in the Workload reports, any tasks that have expired and have not been moved as a date in the weeks under consideration are not considered.

Hi Pietro Poli, welcome to the Community, and thank you for posting.

I've passed on your feedback to our Product team👍🏼

This should be a basic feature, otherwise flexible effort is not designed to work properly, if it doesn’t provide proper sum per assignee. I don't see why you would bother to fill the effort out here if you can't pull proper effort by assignee. This is very inefficient and makes wrike hard to use and therefore hard to push our company to use this tool long term.

Hi Marie Doloc, I understand your disappointment. Thank you for letting us know your feedback as it helps our team so much with their plans. Even though this suggestion is yet to receive a Product status when it reaches the 60 votes threshold, the Product team is keeping a close eye here and there's a possibility they might be able to fit this suggestion in their plans later this year.

We will keep you updated as we have more news on this 👍

Bo Carlsson did you find any workaround?

I agree that the inconsistency between the reports and effort distribution for effort is an issue.  While this proposed idea would certainly be welcomed, I'd prefer another solution to a part of this problem.  Instead of getting reports to accommodate the split in effort, maybe it would be easier/better for some if we could get effort to behave the same way it's treated in the reports, essentially allowing the option to disable the split of effort between assignees.  I've created a suggestion post if anyone would like to support it linked below.

HI @...

We have multiple resources sprend over multiple projets spread over multilple timelines. When I create a report to follow my resources, it is parasited by the efforts of the other participants of the task.

The only solution I found is to create a sub-task per person (which is cumberstone) to avoid this phenomena.

Hi Nicolas Le Diouris, I've done in the same mode.

So one task for one assignee...

Pietro Poli : a lot annoying to do like this but thanks for sharing !

It is a massive gap for it to be impossible to report on the amount of effort scheduled amongst multiple resources for a single task (effort splits). The Use-case for many of my customers is exactly as Bo described earlier. We're past the 60 votes so can we get update on this please?

Hi folks, thank you for your feedback! Patrick Gilbert 👋

This is now available in new effort fields in Analyze reports with this release.

Could you please let me know if that helps?

Hi Lisa - thanks for highlighting this for me, it's very useful in many areas. However the very first comment on the linked page you gave us states:

"However, we've noticed that they don't seem to work correctly when a task has multiple assignees and the effort mode is set to flexible.  No data is returned in this use case.  If there is a single assignee and the effort mode is set to flexible, the new fields seem to work correctly.  So, it seems that the issue is with having multiple assignees on a task.  "

If this is the case, then it doesn't solve the problem raised here. Can you please confirm either way?
