A keep cup, for my coffee is all I need :-)
Mine is a post-it-note with the wordsย "This was identified early on as a likely outcome"ย ย
Photo of my fianceรฉ and coffee. Both is a non negoabile.
In the winter, I like to burn a smelly candle (which unfortunately has left black smoke on my teal walls - oops).ย And my remote "Co-worker" who needs to be reported to HR for sleeping on the job.
Of course, the usual water bottle, boogie board for quick notes, and family photo. I also have a Star Wars Force N Telling Vader that keeps me company and predicts the future...
Coffee and background music
A rotating cast of fidget toys. Iโve unintentionally trained myself to associate each one with a different work mode. Squiggly one = pay attention to this meeting. Magnetic balls = deep thinking/problem-solving time. The one that makes clicky noises = probably time to get up and take a walk.ย
My felt pens so I can color-code notes in my planner. That way I can see at a glance which departments I'm supporting and look for trends, like an increase in support for a specific department or my capacity in general.
Ohhh fidget toys, cat stress ball, COFFEE ... and a SCREAMING GOAT!ย lol
Stress ball, and an array of random books and notepads.
This is a boring and common answer, but headphones are a must-have in the office or at home.ย
I have a rugged, yet smooth rock that I collected from a river while backpacking in the Sierra Nevada mountains. It reminds me of the outdoors and the spirit of adventure.
photos of my family!
I have a 3D printed fidget cube (the ones that have the never-ending fold) that a friend made for me.
The shoes I painted with my teenage son two years back. Brings good memories of the special time we had together and my favorite poem (https://www.wowzone.com/prints2.htm).ย

Stress Ball
A bottle of water and my kids photos
My 2-litre water bottle - without hydration I struggle.ย I try to drink at least one of them a day and sometimes hit two.ย ย
ย
A cute coffee mug, water bottle and headphones.ย Plus my desk tends to be where the team lolly jar lives.
My walking pad below the desk.
There are three essentials for my desk: music, coffee and a footrest!ย
And we also have a screaming goat, LOL! Shelly Ericksonย
For me, it's a framed photo of a smudging that one of my work experience students did for me of a trout tile that was at one of my staff's homes.
I also have a small money tree, and two other plants. It took a few tries to find plants that grow happily in the office!
Plants on my table is all i need
Water bottle always, and desk dinos for company.
And if you're wondering what desk dinos are, when I first went remote I had some tiny dinosaurs that I would fiddle with during my work day. They've been migrating back and forth and I have many more dinos now than I did in 2018.
A fan, a space heater, and my water bottle!ย
On my desk, the most essential is my coffee cup.

A drink or 5! Coffee, water anything but I need to have something on my deskย
