Automated Reminders for Guest Review Approvals

We actively use the guest review feature in Wrike to collaborate with external stakeholders, and while we appreciate the ability to resend invitations manually, this becomes error-prone when managing multiple guest reviews simultaneously.

We’d love to see automated reminder functionality added to guest reviews. Our ideal solution would include:

  • An automatic reminder email sent to the guest reviewer on the due date if they haven’t yet approved or rejected the item.
  • A notification to the internal user who set up the review, so they know the guest hasn’t responded yet.

This would help reduce manual follow-up and ensure time-sensitive deliverables aren’t delayed due to missed guest approvals.

I noticed this related past product request, but wanted to expand it to specifically include automation and dual notifications.

Thanks for considering—this would be a huge time-saver for teams managing external reviews at scale!

This would be a time saver.  It would be nice to have approval due date and approver list in automations so we could set up the rinders there.    That way we could chose if/when the reminders would go out.

This feature would be a tremendous help for our team as well. During peak season, we often have hundreds of guest reviews pending approval, and managing each one manually creates a significant operational burden. It’s not only time-consuming, but also increases the risk of missed approvals, which can delay critical deliverables.

Automating reminder emails to guest reviewers—along with internal notifications to the team members who initiated the review—would streamline our workflow, reduce human error, and free up valuable time for our staff to focus on higher-priority tasks.

This kind of functionality would make a meaningful difference in our ability to manage external approvals at scale, especially under tight production timelines. Thank you for considering it!

Hi Basudha Sakshyarika - we have another use case we’d love to tack onto this request (though I’m happy to submit as a separate post if that’s preferred!).

Use Case Addition:
Our creative team is producing a steady stream of client deliverables that require guest reviews. However, now that summer vacation season is in full swing, we’ve noticed not all clients are keeping regular working hours. This can delay reviews and, in turn, impact our timelines.

To help prevent disruptions, we’d love to see a scheduling feature added to guest reviews—essentially the ability to pre-schedule when a guest review is sent out. This would allow us to line up approvals in advance, keeping our internal workflows moving while Wrike handles the timing of review delivery.

Thanks again for considering this enhancement. We'd love to see more time-saving tools like this to help teams stay on track during busy (and vacation-heavy!) seasons!
