Avoid using the word "just." It undermines your point and makes you sound less confident.
Wrike tip: Leverage predecessor / dependencies. If a task gets done ahead of schedule, the person with the next task can get moving on their piece earlier.
Treat time as a resource that is limited. It is. So allocate it carefully only to important things.
Cultivate gratitude, every night before going to sleep, in the mirror, think back to the day gone by and all the things that happened, be grateful for life and the fortunes we have.
Setting up dashboards for leadership to review all their approvals in one spot has been super helpful for my organization!ย
Ali Moses Self care is so key & I agree with you 100%.
My tip to achieve self-care (especially when things are really piling on) is to remind myself I deserve the same as a potted plant.
Have I had some sunshine? Do I need more water? Good food? Maybe just some sprucing up?
We really can't be our best when we aren't kind to ourselves first!
Assume positive intent - even if it feels like someone is doing something that isn't right, start your thought process from a place of assuming they have a good reason for doing it. You'll be happier and your relationships (personal and professional) will have a more positive light.
These are all so great! I asked my daughter when she was about 6 or 7 years old (she's now 24) - why she didnt seem to worry much about anything - her answer "why should I bother worrying about something that might not ever happen, it's just a waste of time" - well said and so TRUE!ย ย
Stepping back to make sure reporting/analytics are set up well and leveraging those tools for productivity
Wrike Tip: Blueprints with dependencies can save you a lot of time! Lots of work in the beginning but it pays off in the long run!
Wrike tip: Having different work schedules set up has helped with all our users who are on part time work arrangements. Another really small Wrike tip - when creating blueprints we encourage people to use checkmarks within a task rather than lots of subtasks if possible.ย We have found less granular blueprints to be more effective.
The peace in the world starts with everyone. Spread love ๐ค
Never stop investing into your own education.ย ย
Don't let frustrated people frustrate you; instead, put yourself in their shoes. Educating them and showing kindness and patience will always turn the situation around positively.
Preparation is important in many aspects of life, whereas procrastination can be detrimental. The saying "Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today" speaks to me as it highlights the value of taking action promptly.
Always double check custom fields that are used as filters in dashboards to make sure you are filtering for the same field, not one that is similar in name.
Put your phone down and pay attention to the person in front of you.
I always have trouble entering time worked on each project with multiples on the go, going into each project, each sub task and entering, so I find that time sheets so much easier to use and having one screen to enter time for the day, or even week is a breeze.
Wrike Tip: The search feature in Wrike is my favorite tool especially when someone asks me a vague question with nothing but a product name. Using quotation marks to find exact sequence of words is insanely helpful or giving prompts to find specifically named tasks (e.g., Title: "Kick Off Meeting").ย
My work/life tip: Strive to stay hungry to keep learning. You can learn something from everyone! If something feels too comfortable for too long, there is likely a way it can be improved or tweaked. Embrace team members that come in with a fresh perspective and great ideas! Keep challenging yourself, it can help you grow!ย
Email tip: If your response to an email feels defensive or emotional, take a 5 minute break from your computer and walk around or go to another task and come back to it before hitting send. Coming back to an email you wrote with a fresh head can help you understand your own reaction better and maybe understand where the other person is coming from as well.ย
Just do it! I see so many any others procrastinate from going to Wrike from spreadsheets. I try to tell them to just get in there and start. You can make adjustments as needed!
Don't waste time on filler work
Wrike Tip:
Using the Wrike "Ask AI" at a large project level to summarize the work for leadership updates. I even tried it on a task where I placed a lot of analytics towards one campaign and asked "what are the key insights from this data?"
One of the most effective strategies I do is the "Two-Minute Rule". If a task takes less than two minutes to complete, I do it immediately. This prevents small tasks from piling up and keeps my to-do list manageable.
Wrike : automate as much as you can - every second counts
Life: enjoy the small thingsย
